Pantry! In their original packaging orrrrrr you can store the spices in big jars but distribute them in small containers so it's convenient to use like her, I mean ain't that so simple to understand??

For me it's why are they not fitting standing up. It would be more space efficient, would be no need for acrylic stands, just put the labels on a cap and use away. Diagonal placement achieves nothing but placing unfitting containers for a cute picture by waisting space.

Whenever someone *[like yourself]* says shit like, “Who the hell has this much time on their hands,” especially regarding a task that someone is doing as *part of their job* or side job, not only do I question why that person doesn't put 2-and-2 together that these particular videos/shorts are just that *[part of someone’s job or side job],* but also why anyone would think that doing something like this, even if it's not for “content,” somehow takes a significant amount of time to accomplish, lol. *1.* You wouldn't question how someone has “this much time on their hands” when it comes to doing something that is a part of any other job, so why question it here? *2.* All that a considerable number of people would have to do to “make time” for something like this is eliminate or minimize the time you spend doing something else that isn't a necessity to do *[i.e., the amount of time someone spends online/on social media]* and spend that time doing this if that's what the person wants. *3.* Just in general, people have more time to do things than they think they do just by doing what I just mentioned, as far as rearranging how much time you spend doing other things that are not essential. Come on now. 😂

These things all come in containers from the store. You can have a nicely organized home without all of the extra stuff.

Spices already come in jars and plastic bags already come in boxes. Save your money. This may look cute, but it's not practical. Where does she store the label maker or the extra plastic bags that don't fit in this small space? What if you need one extra spice that isn't part of this 24 jar set?

It's possible to buy spices/herbs in bags or at a bulk store. Sometimes they come in gigantic containers that don't fit in your kitchen drawer.

@EmmaHope88 That's true. I didn't think of that. I guess this could be a useful idea in that case. I'm just kind of tired of seeing so much wastefulness in influencer videos. The other day, I saw someone who had like 20 different ice containers with different patterns and flavors. They needed like 2 shelves in the freezer just to store it. It kinda grossed me out to think of all that plastic waste.

we have the ziplock bag containers and they are a lifesaver!! i don't have to pull out 5 bags and then put back 4 anymore, and it's so quick!

Did all this when younger and just married. My husband buys so many different spices I swtiched to 4 turntables full of spices (one of them is a double turntable). And they are all full. They are in upper cabinet next to stove. The big problem with decanting is you lose the use by date. Also, if you keep the orginal spice containers you will remember which brand you like best for repurchase. The idea of adding new spice to old spice in these containers is unacceptable to me. I like fresh spices.

Take a sharpie and write the date and brand on the bottom or the back of the container. But yes, decanting and keeping it neat is an extra job because if you like spices and new mixtures they keep creeping into your kitchen 😅

I mean, technically she could be buying the spices from a refill store, so no extra packaging used, at least I hope she does. Personally, I don't mind the little jars when it comes to eco-concerns, but the single use zip locks, and pointless printed labels. Those add up to household waste way faster than a broken spice jar every other year or so.

Sometimes luck, I got the wooden bag things at Costco and prayed that they would fit nicely (closest Costco is 2.5 hours from me so I wasn't about to go home and measure to check), they were a perfect fit for my drawer.

Mass produced cabinetry for the places like apartments or newer homes generally have standardized and consistent sizes. Products like this are usually designed with those measurements in mind so unless you have custom cabinetry, odds are they’ll fit your drawers nicely :)
