​@@Jewelsrubiesdiamondsyes, it's better than plastic and most children can be taught to be careful with glass things. my autistic toddler does not get glass for obvious reasons, but my 9 year old prefers things in glass, says other things taste like plastic or metal in other containers. any drinks taken away from the kitchen table must be in non-spillable plastic or metal containers, especially if it's not water. I'm actually the only one that's broken any of the cups, from dropping them while washing dishes
