    I was critical of inoue early on because I had seen how reckless he was, and I feel like donaire showed it. But after that, even though he is still reckless, he seems to have been tightening his defense. He started off a bit reckless against nery and paid the price but I was very impressed how well he held himself together and took his time to get his bearings. Then he started to protect his chin a lot better wen throwing and turned up the heat quickly, you really couldn’t ask for more. He may not be invincible but I don’t see any one who can beat him at the moment ( maybe if he jumped all the way to 130) and I love how he has aggressively chased down all challenges and excelled every time. I think he may be the best puncher in the game, not necessarily the hardest puncher, I am thinking he is the best puncher because he can generate fight changing power from any position, range, with either hand and it don’t matter what type of punch it is , hook, straight, jab, or uppercut, he generates serious power and that alone makes him extremely dangerous. Now you combine that with his hand speed, foot work and all around ring iq, you got a very special fighter.

    As of May 2024, the pound-for-pound title has been returned to Naoya Inoue. Crawford has fallen to second place. Naoya Inoue has had many title matches, fighting top-ranked fighters and champions at a rate of once every six months, and all of his victories have been by KO.

  • @raulocasio9168
    @raulocasio916822 күн бұрын

    Yep, I agree! This is what I had posted before the fight. Yes, Naoya is the current P4P boxer in the world surpassing Crawford. He is 27/0 KO with 24 KOs' which gives him an 88.88% KO ratio. Naoya is a once-in-a-generation boxing prodigy who is way too fast, and precise and has exceptional natural power in both hands. Nery is a good boxer but not at the level of Inoue. Naoya will stop Nery on or before the 6th round. Nery will make the (ego) mistake to try and dictate the pace not realizing that Naoya is setting him up... a harrowing painful experience for Nery but it will be quick! Amazing how recency Bias plays a role. Inoue who is one of my all time favorite fighters and is a generational talent, but Bud just dominated a Top 5 P4P fighter in Errol, (something Inoue has never done) and has literally never had a close fight unlike Inoue (Inoue vs Donaire) and has knocked out his last 10 opponents in Championship Fights and has also carried his power up in weight, is getting pushed aside because he had contractual issues with PBC with Spence, and people are just forgetting about his Greatness. And it's literally like they talk about Inoue being the second boxer to unify 2 weight divisions in the Four Belt era, but forgetting that Bud is the FIRST to do it by DOMINATING a Top 5 Talent and one of the best boxers of this generation who was undefeated. Inoue jumps Crawford for beating a guy who had a lost in one of his last 5 fights. Not taking away from Inoue's Undeniable GREATNESS, but people are acting like Bud has been inactive for 2 years and we know he has a fight in July against a high quality opponent. Inoue is Great and could be the best P4P fighter, but to casually dismiss Bud is a little disrespectful.

    @@andrewcarson5850 Complete Revisionist History, because nobody said anything like that before he fought Crawford, and nobody said that after he beat the hell out of Ugas which was well after the Car Crash. And you saying that he wasn't a P4P top 5-6 fighter is a Lie. On this same channel, that you're commenting on, Abe said after Inoue beat the Hell out of Fulton, that Inoue would be #1 P4P until that upcoming Saturday when the winner of the Spence-Crawford winner would most likely jump him. Watch the Video. It sounds like you don't follow Boxing or is a Casual at best if you're saying no one had Spence in the Top 5. And what was funny only Spence fans after the Ass Whopping he got, started bringing up the Car Accident to justify their man getting Cooked Badly. And from that standpoint he's still better then anyone Inoue has fought, and Bud still hasn't had a life or death struggle like Inoue had with a Past his Prime Donaire. Facts

    @@rayglenn Maybe none of the folk you spoke to realised that having as bad a crash as he did was going to seriously damage him forevermore, but I assure you I called it well before the fight, and no one I spoke to disagreed. Have you seen the footage? It's insane that he even fought again. No shade on Errol, but it's impossible to be the same after an event like that. This p4p thing is mainly for the casuals anyway, just a bit of bumpf for folk to flap their gums about, fill up airtime, and allow casuals to make grand statements as if they were seasoned pros. I have no dog in the race, I love the sweet science and honour the finest pugilist specialists. That you don't rate Donaire is ridiculous. Inoue beat him twice, the first time with one eye, the second time in devestating fashion. If you truly love the sport, learn to appreciate a generational talent like Inoue, watch how he fights, the angles, the footwork, the power generated from such short distances. You should definitely watch the two Donaire fights again, as it seems you've forgotten how they went down. Bud is great, no doubt, but inactive and unambitious, whereas the Monster fights three times a year, picking off champions, HoFers, anyone who's worthy in the weight class, then up he goes, onto the next. Currently a four-weight world champion, undisputed in two. You need to learn some respect.
