Have found that keeping the slingshot hand (the one holding the slingshot) as steady as possible on the release helped increase the accuracy quite a bit- had to really concentrate on steadiness, and aligning thumb and releasing the pouch same way everytime. You have to concentrate on several things at once. Keeping the holding hand steady seemed to give biggest I provement (also make sure forks are straight up and down, front to back, side to side-that is the first thing I adjust, then the pouch thumb alignment, then concentrate on steady hold -, then I sight in on the target slowly

very well put Nazareth, appreciate the comment. I myself have been working on keeping my hand steady upon release. I sometimes focus too much on the pouch end and forget about what’s going on on my frame hand. Thank you for taking the time to write a well written thorough comment. appreciate it 🙂🙏

Thanks for showing us the many pouch hold and release positions. I use the one I learned as a kid ( the second you showed). I just need to be more thoughtful and try and stay consistent in the whole shooting process! 👍

When I was first stating out I remember I would see videos and pause it constant to see exactIy how the pouch was being held. Trying to be as thorough as possible for visual learners such as myself 🙂. Appreciate the comment, thank you 🙏🙂👊

For me it has been tons of shooting that allows the hand/fingers to start getting used to that smooth steady release. I prefer the microfiber pouches over the leather. 🎯🙏🤘

Thw way you hold it at 12:59 witch is when you hold the ammo in pouch with your middle fingers "trigger finger, ammo, then the middle finger. Well can someone explain why i seem to hit the target 80% of the time with this release method. But, i dont like it cuz its really uncomfortable and its dangerous cuz the ammo has more probability of slipping away. But the problem is i cant hit the target using other release method, why can i hit the target if im aiming the same way in do when i shoot with the pouch in between my middle and index finger AKA "TRIGGER FINGER"
@k.o.skeeponshooting235
Жыл бұрын
That is an interesting point bella, I don’t have that issue, I can hit the target holding it with the two middle fingers, however it digs real bad into my fingers and just uncomfortable. My best guess is that the release is not as clean when you try the other holds. Perhaps a small involuntary movement is throwing off the shot upon release, or the pouch may be pulled back unevenly with a a certain pouch hold,causing one band to retract quicker than the other throwing off the shot. So Many variables. I like shooting cardboard to know where I’m hitting and make adjustments to see if it brings me closer to where I’m aiming. Practice, practice, practice. If anyone else can shine some light of bellas question, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the comment once again bella. 🙂👍

@@Lee-py6yt precise .6 I like shooting a 22/15 taper. Also I been trying some jinpu bands .5 they are great just don’t last as long as Snipersling yellow
For some reason i cannot release without snatching or jerking my release. Not everytime but enough to be not consistent. I'll just have to keep practising.

I know the feeling, I have a similar issue with the hand that I’m holding the frame, I tend to move it downward upon release, once I focus on what I’m doing wrong and correct it I’m able to be a a lot more consistent. thanks for stoping by toke, appreciate you commenting. keep on shooting brother 👍
