And don't expect and free seats if this goes to day 5, as Headingly is not Nottingham and Yorkshire people are well known, in fact are infamous for their parsimony. Whilst most babies in the UK will have Mamma or Dadda as their first words, rumour has it that Yorkshire kids's first words invariably are, "'Ow much!!"

There were a few empty seats on day 5 which was disappointing because officially they were all sold. Some people with tickets didn't turn up. It was about 90% full on day 5. Next to me there were 4 empty seats all day long.

Yup. They remind me of Smith and Head in the last Ashes in England. Davey Warner was averaging 9. No one fired except Head and Smith (and then Marnus when he was selected).

Superb test match and series, made better by the sportsmanship shown by both sides. Wonderful to see the NZ players applauding the likes of Bairstow and Overton during and after their innings. Credit to all involved, long live test cricket!

5:28 is the moment why Kane is the most respected captain in my eyes. More respect for the game, format and NZ.

They should make Eng vs NZ some kind of ashes level series. This is some of the best test cricket i've seen in years, it's a brilliant match up. Eng obviously seems to have the edge but they are on home ground, NZ are fighting till the last second every time.

Not so long ago Bumrah’s beastly Yorker made Johnny Bairstow appear such an inferior batsman at Oval. That was in December-January. Now it is June.Bairstowe ‘s stint in the IPL seems to have worked wonders for him. He is unrecognisably superior. An epiphany indeed. Hope he doesn’t carry on his devastating form against India next week in the one off Test.

Beautiful timed shots by Latham and Williamson today. Quite aggresive and steady batting finish for England at the beginning, 360 piled up in 67 overs with a run rate over 5 an over, I reckon they would have won a world cup in 1980-90s had they played in similar fashion then😂

@@bagoboy2446 can’t disagree. Leach however doesn’t take a five-fer when conditions suit the spinner. Rashid, Moeen (even potentially Livingstone) have done this and to my mind would be a better bet (and a better bat)

Wonder why English public turn out in such numbers to every test match throughout the year?? A shame with Indian BCCI for not organising tests for Indian team so regularly, although being the richest cricketing board that focuses so much on some stupid brainless IPL, earning around 107.5cr per one IPL match (nd they plan to increase the number of matches & for 2.5 months going further). 😵😨 Tests are eternal, legend makers but no one gives a s*it or talk about on who won which IPL down the lane after few years..
