hi, it looks beautiful. i was just wondering why throw it rather than use a slab built "ring"?

Throwing makes a strong cylinder with no joint. My understanding is that throwing aligns the clay particles in the wall which makes it stronger and this allows Martha to make her organic adjustments to the form without it cracking or deforming.
