Potato cakes were a great favourite of mine when a child. They were served hot from the pan, and you put a lump of butter on top of them and the butter would melt in. Yummy. ❤Love from Dublin Ireland🇮🇪

Yes always find ways to make recipes with food that are left overs never waste food! 😊 if I use half my food up ima find more ways to make sure it’s all finished to be satisfied

I think the egg and cheese is enough of binding ingredients, the flour isn’t needed in the mixture, but I’m sure it helps if you simply coat the patties in it right before frying them! Yum. Thank you. Great recipe!

Complicated meals run against the grain of what food should be. Love this.

Yummy! Reminds of my grandmother’s cooking. She just used cheese and green onions. We had bistec (steak) on the side with tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion salad. It was delicious 😋

Potato cakes! A long time favourite here in N W England. The most basic type is just mashed potato but fried in butter. I do usually add a little cheese and lightly fried onion however. I will have to try the addition of some carrot too. Altogether a great job here. They look excellent.

My dad made what he called potato pancakes like these when we were young, it was so special, as I don't remember him cooking anything else. They were wonderful because he cooked them-and they tasted great!!

I have been cooking for my family and friends for nearly 70 years. This recipe is quite close to how my potato pancakes are made. This recipe has a couple added ingredients than mine do but the preparation process is practically identical. This video was quite enjoyable. Here in the United States we often use olive oil rather than sunflower oil. For my family, if there is bacon grease on hand, the potato pancakes are cooked in it.

These potato cakes looks awesome!! I'm from Nashville Tn & my grandma & my Mama both taught me to make potato cakes using the leftover mashed potatoes made from yesterday's dinner to make theirs. She used the leftover potatoes, very finely chopped onion,1 egg, 2 or 3 tbsp of flour combined & made into patties & fried until golden brown in a cast iron skillet. Guess thats the Southern version lol. I'll have to try your way, your version looks phenomenal darling. Thank you & GOD bless.

I make these all the time with leftover mashed potatoes. I put crumbled bacon, onion, peppers and cheddar cheese. Absolutely delicious.

My Mom would do the same using whatever she had at the time in the extra ingredients. Usually either for lunch or sometimes as an item at dinner.

Bardzo dziękuję za materiał i przepis na smaczne jedzenie. Niestety jest ono niekorzystne dla zdrowia w porównaniu z mięsem. Ziemniaki to przede wszystkim skrobia, która dział gorzej niż cukier, a smażyć proponuję na oliwie , maśle lub smalcu, gdyż szczególnie w oleju słonecznikowym wytwarzają się szkodliwe substancje podczas smażenia. Uwielbiam ziemniaki, zwłaszcza tak przygotowane, niestety trzeba na nie uważać. Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
