Before covid-19 lockdown, there were 150 million outbound Chinese tourists who traveled outside of China. After the covid-19 lockdown was rescinded in 2022, there were 40 million outbound Chinese tourists who traveled outside of China during the first half of 2023. So Chinese citizens do have the freedom to leave the country. 🐼

I will be making a complete vlog for the same. But for quick info, you need Chinese visa which happens within a weeks time. Secondly you can travel from anywhere to Tibet if commute is available, which is. Third Tibet permit is required which is provided by tour operators and preferably local tour operators for quick permit. But China visa is required. Rest you can travel from anywhere within China. I travelled from Chongqing in train. Which I have mentioned in my series

I'm sure it'll help and guide many of us who are interested to travel to Tibet. My other question is, how does the Tibet visa work? Is the Tibet visa valid only with the group tour? If supposedly we get 4 days group tour tickets and after 4 days, is our visa still valid to hang around ourselves? Please respond this in your next vlog if you can. It would be so helpful 🙏🙏🙏

Tibet shares a border with Assam, which was an independent country ruled by the great Ahoms. It was only after the British illegal occupation of India that it had annexed Assam after defeating the Ahom ruler on the battlefield. Tibet shares a border with Sikkim, which was forcefully annexed by the India without the will of Sikkimese people. Tibet Shares a border with Uttarakhand, which was a part of Nepal. The Britishers brought Uttarakhand in British India after an illegal treaty with Nepal. Tibet shares a border with Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, which was again controversially made a part of India. Tibet doesn't share a border with Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Bengal, Odisha, Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Delhi. However, Tibet does share borders with the majority of Han Chinese provinces/states like Qinghai, Yunnan, Sichuan and Xinjiang.
