I was born with this condition, and I got a kidney transplant at 14 months. My transplant has survived 17 years now and I’m still going strong. However, I am a special case where the blockage passed on its own, and I was even lucky to get a good transplant. I am sorry for everyone with this condition who never made it to see my age.

Just did not understand. My son born with PUV. At 9 montha it was detected and valve is removed followed by circumcission. Now you are saying even if the valve is removed again UTI will occur? So what is the future and if you can tell me the mortality as in how many years one can survive with this condition.

As a 14 yr old with puv I can approve this vid I’m going to evilina children’s hospital for a urodynamics test soon

My son also has this condition. He underwent bilateral ureterostomy without removing the obstruction. Was this supposed to be done??....

Mon fils a eu ce problème à la naissance. On lui a d'abord fait une vesicostomie à 1 mois.et là il a 4 mois, on s'apprête à lui retirer les valves

Can this be treated while the baby is still in the womb with the help of laser?

Difficult to be certain it is posterior urethral values while baby is still in the womb. Laser may be available in some advanced fetal medicine hospitals but sadly there is a high risk of miscarriage or complication with any fetal intervention

@@mike21389now we did operation for baby, which means vesicostomy ,baby passes urine through bladder and also chaw was burner through while my baby 7 dayz old then doctor advaised us to care under vesicostomy next month doctor said us to take scan through that scan report, the next treatment will be taken
