FRRRR just got em on today ... my whole jaw felt so sore

What seemed to work for me is you can actually safely shave down little bits at a time of those turbos by yourself using a nail filer. Do keep in mind that the entire purpose of them is to stop you from biting down and breaking your brackets. However your ortho may have actually put slightly a bit more than needed allowing you to make it more comfortable to shave down a little bit with a nail filer.

Just got them on i have a speech disorder already and it makes me have a lisp. I hate them so bad. I wish orthodontist can come up with ways of torturing us less with braces without paying a fortune. Its so annoying.

Hello Doctor! My Doctor had given me GIC as bite turbos and i started experiencing pain in my right side specially during the night time and just after waking up in the morning, I told this to my Doctor She increased the level of gic then I got relief but after this I started experiencing the same type of pain in the left side.. Idk why this is happening.. My teeth are absolutely in healthy state and carious free... Is this due to high points or something... Kindly reply Thankyou..

I’ve had mine on for 5 days now… still waking up at night due to pain of them but can now eat pretty much as before. Still pain when eating but surely and slowly getting used to them!

How mañy months have to put it on deep bite posterior turbos plz say?

My orthodontist calls this bite openers instead of bite turbos but yeah, I got this treatment done on me because a bracket on my upper teeth always rubs up against one of my lower teeth because of something I have called a scissor bite, and so I got this done to separate the bracketed tooth from the lower tooth biting off that bracket

If they are well cemented-there shouldn't be a problem, just brush like normal(: and don't worry they won't fall out they're bonded to the teeth! Good luck with your ortho journey! 🦷

Not sure why so many people are complaining about it when I got mine, I ate fried chicken and the next day I ate noodles.

Hey I have braces right now and just got the turbo bites how long do I have to wear them I can't wait to get rid of them

finally had my braces 2 days ago and I have these stoppers or turbo bites for my crossbites. It really hurts and I really can't bite anything, even the softest food so there's really no food going to my stomach other than yogurt. I'm really hungry. But I noticed that there is no wires except for brackets. is that normal? I mean how can my crossbite be fixed with just stoppers?

Just got these yesterday with braces and they suck! I get they're preventing me from breaking brackets but man I can't chew correctly

I had one today my dentist said it was put to not break the bracket again cuz my upper first molar touches my lower one’s bracket. And now I can’t chew and I can’t even close my teeth it only touches that one and only block so how am I supposed to chew and eat??😢 I really have to go back to him tmw to thinner that.

It's usually between 45 minutes to 1 hour my friend!

It's been 3 weeks since I got these and people kept telling me I will get used to it but I still can't have solid food... I feel so hungry all the time and so furstrated! As if this wasn't enough, I was already underweight before starting this journey and now I have lost even more weight that I couldn't afford to lose. I am vomitting every time I have something solid cuz it isn't getting mashed properly. I feel so tired and morose all the time now. Idk if they are even gonna remove these during the next appointment... Should I request them to? It's messing up my health at this point.

Bite turbos force your bite to be in the right position and that can be painful the first days. I remember the first days I got them I was in pain all the time like when you force something out of its usual position even if the usual position is wrong? That way. Now I’m four months in and no pain however I still haven’t gotten used to the sensation of not being able to fully bite into my food.

I have a small mouth so putting the thing that opens your mouth hurt very bad and it’s hard to eat with bite turbos cause you can’t bite down

These things come off so easily…my dentist applied them 2 times and both the times the came off the same day..then they raised the last molar with amalgam…tbh bite raising is a nightmare…my mouth never feels relaxed plus you cant chew anything properly…

I got on lower molar teeth, 3 on each side...after two week, today its bleeding from one side

when can i start eating? it hurts soo much, i havent been able to eat anything but soup

@@ToothTime just I’m good. The same day I got a new one put on. My ortho asked if I grind my teeth while I sleep but I really don’t know. However, during the e day I unconsciously grind my teeth when I’m nervous or thinking hard. Trying to stop it tho

Can you develop cavities under the bite turbo? I've had braces on for about 2 months and I feel some discomfort in my tooth with the bite turbo. The bite turbo covers my whole upper tooth surface and I am worried that I might've have developed cavities under as I don't think that my Ortho cleaned the area before hand... I'm stressed and was supposed to go to a check up today but I had close contact with a person with covid and now have to wait till the 2nd of February...(I'm negative btw) what should I do?

Hi my friend and that's a really incredible question... it seems logical for you to think any discomfort in that area it might be caused by a cavity under the bite turbo.... but since your dentist didn't "clean" the area it probably means you didn't have any sign of affection in that tooth meaning it was healthy and since it's covered with the bite turbo it's even more protected agains a cavity in the grooves ....
