I remember seeing the tours of your first home with LV and was highly impressed. Somehow, you've outdone that and created another amazing abode. I absolutely love the changes you and Tommy have made to that classic home. Your efforts are impactful and elevate the entire neighborhood.
I just love the clean uncluttered look while still having so much to look at, a real gift.
You have done a great job….love the negative space between plants….gives rest to the eyes….it is a peaceful garden
Your garden is very calm and visually quiet, which I love. And I love your edging - especially that it helps your doggies navigate the garden. ❤
I always have plants sitting around, too. If I were to video my garden there would always be something that needs to be put away or planted. lol Never ends. Garden looks good!❤
Sydney, your backyard is truly lovely. I agree with you, the view walking in from the driveway is stunning. Love your windowbox and the area below it too-great color combination. Those hanging baskets make a real statement. You are making excellent progress. I live in zone 9 in Florida. Heat and humidity are terrible here too. Thx for sharing your gardens.
Adding a touch of blue to your garden is a nice touch. It’s coming along beautifully.
The bed under your window has matured beautifully😊
Love seeing the progress of the backyard. It’s gorgeous and I know will get better and better.
Isn't it amazing how a person can work up a sweat simply walking around in the yard? The yard is looking good despite the heat.
Your garden beds look amazing. Love the hanging flowers. Thank you for sharing Sydney.
The gray color looks so soft and blends well with your brick and landscaping. I never before would have thought of using it but am seeing it more and more in landscaping, homes, and even cars!
I absolutely love your home… I followed you from the old house and I’m so proud of you and your husband and all that you have done. But more importantly, I absolutely love your Saint Francis that is guarding you and your garden. Keep it going your hard work shows believe me. Shout out from California.
Beautiful looking garden, its the bees knees. We had a storm two weeks ago and our three leggy geranium rozannes that were in bloom flopped to the ground. We cut them back to the base and they are coming back for a late summer show.
North Carolina so needs rain right now, as the farmers' crops are struggling and temps continue to be in the high 90s!!

Middle GA in dire need of rain. No rain in a month!
All the garden is fabulous! This heat & humidity is hard to deal with!
Your garden looks great especially considering that heat blast. 🌸Wouldn’t that extra 2 hedges of boxwood struggle with the heat? I remember the previous gardener had to construct a shade sail to try to beat the heat back there over her boxwoods. I think the little wooden fences would look more like your style if you cut the pointed ends off and capped the top rail I loved hearing you say you take time to enjoy the view.
So happy that that hose will be moved. It distracts from the lovely window box and palladium window . The rest is looking good. I do like a more mature landscape, but know that will come in time.
Oh boy three inches of rain would be heavenly. Sidney glad you did not suffer much storm damage. Kitchen window box and flower bed look so lush and healthy. I love, love the lime glow or lime light barberry and the view from your seating area is so pretty. Flower beds and Bees doing great. Thanks for the backyard update. In the corner by the power pole have you thought about a very light weight shade cloth for a little temporary sun protection? My Anacacho Orchid Tree (A&M variety) is at least 15 years old. Just found a seedling that germinate from a pod. I am protecting it with my life and shade cloth. ha ha. Smells heavenly when it blooms in the spring.
Excellent drainage and air circulation are essential for the Lavandula pinnata ( Fern Leaf Lavander)
I kinda like the chartreuse bar berry by the garage, just cut out the red one. But ofcource it is your garden and it looks fantastic no matter what you do 😊😊
Trumpet vine…if you figure out how to get rid of that, do tell. I’ve been fighting growth in spots from one I cut down 15 years ago. The growth is at its original location as well as up to 10 feet away. We’ve used sucker punch, that stuff that kills trunks and have even injected the shoots with stuff.
A lot of nice plants, I love the view and even the area where the fence is at the raised bed I don’t think you need boxwoods there looks nice as is in my opinion ❤
Sydney, the back looks great! You have done a marvelous job making this whole property your own. At first I wanted to see how you handled it but I like your style and will continue to watch and learn thins from you. Happy Summer to you and Tommy.( I hope I remembered his name right.)
I love how everything turned out. It looks spectacular 👍🏽 So much to feel proud of, your hard work paid off.
Beautiful. The patio is so inviting. Loved seeing and hearing the bees.
Hi Your back yard is gorgeous. We are all fighting the heat. No rain in the uk for days now❤
Sydney, Have you seen the solar garden fence post lights. Your fence entering your raised garden, the fence post would be perfect for the solar lighting. There's also solar fence lights. I think it look amazing!
Love how soothing your garden is to the eye.....beauty everywhere in such a serene setting. Your bee hive is pretty and I am so happy to see the bees. You should do a walk thru of your garden accompanied by some very zen music....I would love to have that on my TV! Also ....a live cam of the bee hive would be very cool to watch.
It’s all looking good. 💚💚
Your boxwoods looks great. I think the boxwoods with the sphere shape looks perfect in your back garden as long as they are low and not get out of control in size. HAPPY GARDENING
I love Fern Leaf Lavender. I call them antennas. They have a wild but pretty look. 💜
Love the Amaranth - I would not be mad at that! Your gardens are beautiful♥
Looking good your back garden 😍🌼😍. Thank you for sharing. Hi from Austria 😊.
Totally love your gardening talent and the layout of your yard. Coming from SW Ontario Canada you have a few plants that are not available to us.
Thank you for sharing your backyard is so beautiful I love everything you have done.
Love the fern leaf lavender! Did you start from seed or buy locally? If bought as a plant, where did you purchase it? I'll be in OKC soon.
Everything is just beautiful! But your raised beds are 🤩amazing!!
It is visually beautiful. I love the grass.
Oh that Labyrinth dahlia is gonna be amazing, can picture it in one of your bouquets already. So relate to the bit about trying the hydrangea (tag with "full sun") and then ...yeah. Dang intermittent reinforcement ('cuz sometimes it works, lol, and we always hope it's gonna be one of those times). Your zinnias look AMAZING, have the same variety here and while they look good--we're rural (N Texas) and getting hammered by grasshoppers. THANK YOU for another enjoyable video. 🙌🏼
I love what you have done to your new place it is so peaceful and pretty. What is the dark color on your garage doors can you please share?
I am loving your beds around the trees! So pretty! Your back cutting beds are just amazing! Great job♥️♥️♥️
Love the plant combination under the window box. The backyard is looking so elegant and serene. Love all the green on green with touches of blue and purple. Lavender is fantastic. I've been growing it for years. I recently discovered some self seeded amaranthus in one of my beds. I've never planted amaranthus so don't know where it came from. After seeing your experience I'm not sure if I want to let it continue.
Everything looks very lush, and I like the mix of green colors. Thank you for the tour.
Agree with you, no boxwoods on the fence to the cut flower area as it would call for symmetry on the other side; plus, I love the barberries, too! You just may want to add boxwoods to replace the lambs ears in the two small pots.
Beautiful!
I really like all the changes and maintenance you’ve done to your property! But I vote no to boxwoods along the fence, the informality suits that area. 🇨🇦🌸👏
You introduced me to dicondra silver falls. Love it in my pots!
Everything is looking so pretty, you are doing a wonderful job! Have you tried Bonide vine & stump killer on your pesky vines? It would definitely be worth a shot.
Sydney loving the backyard garden!
I had fab cosmos in Michigan but no luck here in Tn. They must not love the heat.
Lambs' ear does not like a lot of sun.
I'm having the same challenges with my Cosmos here in DFW.
Everything looks great! So what’s the name of the lime green barberry you like, did I miss the name. Also, is it an evergreen? Thanks!
Speaking of boxwoods being expensive, I have a pair of fully grown decades old, English dwarf boxwoods, one of which seems to have sun scorch from Winter and then more from the sun (not hot sun either 75F). Do you have that type and/or have you had sun scorch before? Is it fatal? How did you deal with it?
A beautiful garden sanctuary. Sydney, where did you get those rope grids in your cutting gardens? Thx!
Where did you find the string netting in the raised bed? I have not seen that before... thanks for the tour!
Sydney, your gardens are beautiful. I just found you a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed your videos. If you have time, could you please let me know where you're located? I've looked. However, I must have missed it somewhere. Thank you.

Oklahoma City.
Do you ever put a sunshade over bee hives in the height of summer?
Garden is looking good. But I think that you’re putting an S on the end of Amaranth. As far as I know it’s Amaranth, not Amaranthes. It’s the same name whether you’re talking about one or more of them.
Where did you get your edging from again? I’m looking to do something similar now. I am over trying to re-edge flower beds all the time because they are lined with small boulders. It’s just become more work than I am interested in.
We can stop at H‑E‑B on the way out

Hi Sydney will the ferns survive the harsh winters.
Where did you get the big round sofa table?ty🌵
What is the size/details of the metal garden edger?
🤩🤩👍👍💝💝
Interesting that Linda Vater in a recent video said she's not psychologically ready to see the changes in her old "Fantasy Backyard." I think viewers are requesting that she do a garden tour of Sydney's property.

She should be happy someone is taking over the property and making it nice

I’m sure Linda knew Sydney was not taking on the property as keeper of what Linda had created but would make it her own. Perhaps in time she will do a tour but she may choose to remember it as she left it. She and Sydney have different gardening styles and viewers need to respect that. Both ladies have accomplished much in their homes and gardens and both gardens are beautiful!

@@doreen9838 Catty comment. It's not middle school. It was nice before, it's nice now. Different visions, both lovely.

Some people are clearly so bored with their lives (or simply dull-minded) that they seek to stir up 'bad' for their own amusement on YT channels. They insert "baits" amidst commentary. It's particularly pitiful when they're women of a certain age, IMO. We only get so many days in this life. They're squandering theirs. Linda's yard was beautiful and she's beautiful. Sydney's yard is beautiful and she's beautiful. We learn a lot from them.
👍🥰
How come Linda doesn’t come by?
