Post-Shading a 3-Tone German Camouflage! (Shady Jagdpanther 314)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
My friends, let's try two things: painting with the new AK Real Colors and post-shading a Normandy-style German camouflage. Using the post-shading method on a single-colored model is extremely easy, but if you have a camouflage on top of it, things get more shady.

"The Zimmerit was so gnarly, they wouldn't adhere properly." Zimmerit doing its job then :D Looks superb as always! Can't wait for the next episode.

Exactly! And I was worried it would look too flat :D
Martin, honestly I'm speechless every time you make a video. Your models are so extremely awe-inspiring, I almost can't handle it haha. Top job my friend! 👍

I've been modeling over 50 years, and I've learnt a lot watching you. Thank you.
Martin Kovac, I'm no expert, you did well, but you should dull down the decals, as they are too bright, they should match the dullness of the camo, so that they dont look 'freshly' painted on. I usually use a coat of clear with a drop of the base colour and spray it over the decals to 'blend' them into the base colour, this creates a 'used' look and enhances the weathering. Thanks for your videos, I have watched them all. PetervanHorne.

I'm really, genuinely loving this build. And I'm super excited for a more chill diorama involving the Jagdpather, that shows the quiter side to the war. Always good to have humanity in artwork.
I think this might just be your most beautiful build to date, and its only going to get better from here!

Fingers crossed for that! :D
Beautiful job, those shades compliment each other very well! I love the look of the painted zimmerit. I can’t wait for weathering!
I love how the three colours complement each other well. Often one colour always ends up darker or lighter than the others and spoils the effect
Fantastic result Uncle! You keep raising the bar for all of us who love to build models. Looking forward to the next episode in this series. Cheers from Australia!
Wujek Marcin w formie! Pięknie wyszło, prosty sposób na wpędzanie innych modelarzy w kompleksy lub na dodanie im inspiracji. Trzymam kciuki za postępy!
Thank you for honoring this beautiful cat with an amazing paint job, this looks absolutely stunning even before weathering and all the other good stuff that is going to happen. And I agree, the dark yellow alone (without the green and brown) already looked awesome!
Thank you for tossing bits of your knowledge to us all,I always look forward to what you "feed" us :)
After trying my hand at airbrushing post shading for the first time I'm amazed at your control. getting so close and spraying such a fine line without flooding the surface!
Watching uncle nightshift do models _properly_ while I fix mine!
Outstanding. I think best build/painting project on your channel so far. Truly interesting and pleasurable to watch. Thank you :)
I adore this Jagdpanther. It's one of my favorite WWII vehicles and yours really is gorgeous. Inspiring!
Hello uncle! I’m always amazed on how courageous you are by wash soaking your builded model directly under tap water!! And intrigued by all your different approaches, mixed techniques, order of execution and mixing different brands of products. I ❤️ your videos 😍. Cheers mate!
I just got back into modeling after 25 years...thanks Martin..Mr Nightshift! Your techniques are amazing. I've learned alot!
That decal trick is ingenious! Looking forward to the rest of this series. I'm also working on a big German cat (Tamiya 1/35 King Tiger Ardennes Front), really a pleasure to build. I would love to see you tackle a King Tiger, Martin!
Awesome job. Very realistic job. The Very few color pictures I've seen you nailed it 👌. Thanks much for sharing and wait to see the weathering and stowage. I'm sure you'll do a fantastic job on the figures.
Woow super smoth paintjob, and the post shading on the base coat is impressive, cant wait to see the next episode!!
I literally started modelling because of uncle night shift, and this model paint job is seriously the best camo tone Martin has done. Well done, keep going!
really like the surface texture of this model. Really makes you wanna feel it and gives it some interesting characteristics to look at.
Amazing as always, I really like how the post shading brought the three tone camo together. :)
I really love your videos, because they motivate me to build more models or to keep building my scenery, even tho i just paint with brushes and cheap acrylicpaint. Thank you very much for uploading.
Looks superb, your skills just get better and better with each new video, can't wait to see the next episode.
Thanks Uncle Night Shift! I just received my first tank today (Tiger, of course) and I’m going to be following your videos to get it done. Got myself some badass Vallejo paints and Rust & Chipping Effects, Army Painter Metallics & Washes, AK Interactive Mud & Snow & Grime Kits…. Let’s see what happens! Thanks again
Probably one of the best 3 tone camo schemes I've ever seen. We have a saying in the UK...."that's the dogs bollocks"...well done sir..

MY FRENZ! Another awesome build with eye popping paint and details that are a feast for the eyes!
What is not to like, top quality paint work my friend. Something I’m going to try to replicate on my next build. (1/16 StuG on pre order) so very much looking forward to seeing you finish this build, stage by stage and take notes. Your craftsmanship is inspirational. My go to armour modeller for guidance and inspiration.
I dig it. I like the quick post shade and came application. I really like the damaged ZIMMERIT. I'm starting a Tiger I with damaged ZIMMERIT with transport tracks on a flatbed rail car. Your video's are great motivation. Keep it up!
Wow nice work! You are like a wizard even how you paint your figures and dioramas. Love it👍🏻
Wow, I felt like the Jagdtiger was made a month ago, time flies by real fast. This is honestly amazing! Especially when the JagdPanther was one of my favorite tanks!
Absolutely awesome. Nice work, brother. Cheers!
Fantastic camo job. The white around decals makes it look like stickers
Another FANTASTIC paint job...one day I hope to be as good as you are sir!! WELL DONE!!!
Very nice work on the camouflage! I used the AK RC paints recently and I too found the redbrown to be a little dark. I think I'll go back and lighten it up with a little marbling.

But that is what the actual RAL 8017 was supposed to look like. Just like their RAL 7021 is the correct dark gray, and not that lighter gray or blue-gray people use.

@@wwiiinplastic4712 It looks dark enough now, but then with a varnish and wash it will end up too dark.

@@Panzermeister36 That's the scariest moment ever. You finish painting a model with matte colors and it looks pretty okay, so you go ahead and put gloss or satin over it and it suddenly becomes a lump of coal :D
Holy cow bro, this is looking incredible, your camo paint job is amazing! loving the build brother
Because of you Martin when I bought the Tamiya Jagdpanther "Late" I also bought the complete eduard PE kits (4 sheets) loads of it....thanks m8 my works cut out now lol...just kidding, you inspired me to detail it more, redo welds etc and thanks to you my weld effect skills are muuuuch better..also make tarps using your method, but use greenstuff 2 part epoxy putty as cant get tamiya one in UK....thankyou
Its really interesting how much better the human eye is at seeing these colours in real life than a camera can capture then show on a computer screeen.
Once again you amaze me, mah friend. Well done!
it's going to be a milestone of instruction and guideline for jagdpanther 's camouflage.
Hey man this is my second video I’ve watched from u and u have rekindled the passion I’ve had for the hobby thanks for creating such amazing videos
Your dedication is inspiring! Great!
This build is astonishing like I’m just speechless 😶 I wish I could built and painting my models like you!
Marty, you never cease to amaze me. You're actually one of the reasons i returned to my childhood hobby! I stopped building when I was about 13-14 (around 81) and I picked it up again at the beginning of 2020. I love your sense of humor dude. :-)

Wow!! Beautiful paint...
Always inspiring, and teaching me new techniques as I'm new to this hobby, keep up the great work 💪💪👍
Honestly I think it turned out amazing so far. Cant wait to see it weathered
Once again Great Work and Handy tips and skills, I'm always learning and having a chuckle with your humour! :)
Thanks a lot for your videos, i enjoy the way they calm me down before i go to sleep, hope you have a wonderful time making the models and videos for your viewers :)
Outstanding! Great work my friend hope you're feeling better. Kudos...
Fantastic work as usual! It's funny, what you call airbrush pin wash is what us aircraft builders call pre-shading. Always enjoy taking time and watching your work and creations.
Man I really like the work your doing it's both informative and entertaining at the same time, Keep up the good work Bro
Nice job! I haven't built a Jagdpanther since the '80s.
Good job on the decals! You’re the best
Totally unbiased and whatever, I love it!! I wish I could paint that good lol
German life colour field grey is brilliant for post fading any green with ak worn effects then going back over it with the lighter field grey just clouding it in over the worn effects but you still see it under it! Hard to explain its a new thing I've been Using and the outcome is stunning! I'm playing with these new AMMO shaders and new acrylic filters just now too I like it it's very similar to the amusing hobby krupp panzer 4 slopped armour kit I done love that post shading 3 tone camo you've done a great job!
Nice that shouted out JB. He's a good dude.
I liked the simple dark yellow, just prior to the camouflage but I have to admit that 3 tone camo is looking amazing, I might try to do that airbrush post-shading technique, looks really interesting.
It looks GLORIOUS!!!! The yellow colour looks just satisfying, I can't wait to repaint my sturmtiger just to try those techniques out :D
Thats an excellent Paintjob respect !!
Turned out great. Well done.
Ma friend! Looks amazing as it stands, but knowing uncle nightshift it's far from finished, you are truly inspired 😉👌
*The paint is very good, nex step the weathering and it'll blow our minds up!*
waow the painting stand !
Last Friday I bought some ak real colors and surprise surprise, uncle nigthshift made a video using the same ak real colors I bought. Even more exited to use them on my tiger 2.
Love it! Can't wait to see the final dio
Getting into the weekend with another nightshift video
Good work fella. My favourite AFV of WW2.
Looking amazing man! Thanks for the great tips and techniques ☺️👍
Nice work. I often slit decals. I have a medical scalpel that I use. It has a forward tilting blade that makes the point very precise. I am going to have to try some of those AK paints. But, I really enjoy mixing Tamiya paints. There are some recipes on the net to mix just about any WWII color of any country you want. It will be nice to see your weathering, next week.
Out of the decalcs, excellent !
Superb build as always!
Cant wait for the next one!
Dude! I like it without even the weathering effects! My best model looks like this for good or not! Don't loose motivation and stay safe! Also hope your leg will be good soon! Greetings to you from Bulgaria!
Stunning work love your uploads I've just finished my Meng Panther using a lot of your technics
Dear Martin, Fantastic tutorial.
Amazing 😍. Your Jagdpanther looks already way better then my Jagdpanther 314 I build a year ago.
