    The added interior is a good step, but there's too much blue hue in the new color pallet and too little contrast.

    despite all the critics, I love what they are doing with interiors, textures mesh and other, we'll see the lighting but overall good work and an absolutely good video!

    Some aspects seem to look worse but overall I like the changes, especially that there are much more inner and outer decorations added and less plain flat textures. Foliage LOD seem to be significantly increased. That was very needed feature to improve concealment in the distance, however even further rendering would be welcome.

    whyd u guys make it so blue? the golden tones of the originals were much nicer. and such a blue tone isnt particularly realistic either

    I agree, also it looks like it's always 90% humidity out and foggy, but I guess that helps with performance

    Theres a couple things ive noticed. The blue helps to make darker environments brighter, while still feeling dark. Nighttime especially under the full moon as this effect. Also, with the warmer colour scheme, you also tend to notice a lot more of the sharp edges and unnatural feeling that grass and foliage has because everything is so well lit. The change in theme introduced some more complex shadows that helped to hide this. That being said, the blue isnt on all maps, just some layers, usually dependant on fog and level of lighting. The moon and clouds play a major role.

    warm colors and golden sun doesnt really fit a world war 2 aestetic at least for a european theatre, therefore its a lot more logical to strive for a green blue color plaett, if you have a look at hollywood they did this in the past with all the big WW2 movies (SPR, BOB so on). It is an art choice non the less, i personally think it fits the game better

    The choice to remove chromatic saturation from all the maps I think is a good one. It is a more "cinematic" lighting which helps the player. Even if the previous one is more realistic, I think this choice is the right one. And adding that fog to certain maps or time of day gives it a spectacular touch. When you fight in a forest with that fog, you're going to be amazed!

    This new look is closer to the original vision, it's better. PS had swapped to this ugly yellow sometime before it became S44 and that was horrible.

    Very nice. I hated the yellow "jaundice" look of late PS, but I also wasn't satisfied with the post S44 changes either. This upcoming update is like a return to the roots of the original vision of the game. I can't wait.

    I personally prefer the old lighting. The old driel lighting has lots of clarity, especially for distant combat while the new lighting seems foggy at distance (check 5:51 vs 6:00).

    That fog is not in all layers, you will be able to shoot far away with tanks without any problem.

    Show me a single comparison that is not foggier in the new version. Day layers are foggier, night layers are foggier, rain layers are foggier. Don't look at the foreground, look at the background, the distant trees, the buildings. Every single comparison you show clearly shows this. Targets at distance are always going to be obscured partially by fog with any of the new lighting you show.

    there's too much blue hue in the new color pallet , that's the only thing that I did not like on those "new" graphics...

    Grave looks worse...putting wheatfields and more bushes is so lazy, it was fine the way it was before, the terrain had enough bumps and canals for cover. Lighting wise it's worse. Interiors better but that's universal.

    Ouch, the new update looks so washed out and flat compared to classic PS. What happened. Classic PS had an amazing color palette and now it looks lifeless. Dayam they really ruined it.

    Yep, I love me orange grass, black full shadows, sewer water, and highest contrast settings possible. If you prefer to have the map be black and smeared with cheeto dust, then lower your brightness to the lowest possible I guess. This is so much more lifelike because it portrays real lighting and lighting actually reflects like it should, and the old lighting looked extremely outdated.

    @@grittygrudge cheeto dust eh? Are you 5? Original PS had character and a carefully selected art style, regardless of whats real and what isn't, this was the direction of the art team and what many of us original backers fell in love with. Grow up.

    @@rainey06au What part about my comment insinuates that I am 5? And, well, to be frank, while you claim the game had character a particular "art style" (which literally was just about being orange and incredibly high-contrast then I guess), this will not encourage player retention at all. Nobody wants to play a game that looks like it came out in 2014 and is about fighting WWII on the equator. And, I dunno about "carefully selected" palette, as no colors really made sense together - no colors reflected accurately, materials and colors cast in shadows were way darker than they realistically should've been, water looked like it came straight out of the sewer, and the grass somehow looked like it was ill with just how dark it was. I don't like having this attitude but, maybe you should grow up from making such snarky comments and learn to adapt to changes.
