Thanks! I made a foam covered pcv-pipe version for sparring. But the point of balance is way back, in comparison to a normal shepherd's axe, otherwise a hit in the head would be very unpleasant, if not downright unsafe, even in the mask.

2h sword is far more larger than axe (ciupaga - regional name). 2h sword is 150cm+ while ciupaga was a kind of multi tool - daily use as a cane (yes! No mistakes, so it cant be longer than 100cm... maybe for someona tall af), but also useful as climbing tool and ofc as weapon - but it was a common item in mountaineer's life. Even in game you can see that 2h sword had much more range than ciupaga.

I actually love it's this overdone jump. It really makes me think of jumps and hops in traditional dancing of Carpathian highlanders, which gives it a nice vibe. Sure, it's a bit goofy as Kubold mentioned, but Yendrek generally seems to be a bit of goofier character, kind of following the soul of usual media depiction of Janosik legend, as this lighthearted, frivolous person.

*Thank you* for this @Kubold ; I've *long* wanted to see more weapon variety in this game *outside* of having different types of *swords* ! And I *especially* love how you have this guy *use* his axe; it really shows that there's *just* as much nuance to axe fighting as there is to *swordfighting* ! I actually have some *other* ideas for new characters and weapons to introduce to the game. 1: A carpenter with a wooden *maul* . 2: A farmer with a *sickle* or *warscythe* . 3: A town guard with a *spear* . 4: A clergyman with a *mace* and *buckler* (we have *yet* to see a character with a *shield* in this game even though it's make sense in an armorless dueling context). 5: A *thief* who duel wields a pair of *daggers* and focuses on *evasion* for their defense instead of *deflection* . 6: A wanderer who uses a *quarterstaff* (contrary to popular belief, *everyone* , not *just* Asians, used quarterstaves; Europeans just used them *differently* from Asians). And while I'm here, I'd also recommend that you allow players to perform *spin* attacks as a *sidestepping* dodge and counter technique, and a *jump* attack to avoid an attack to the legs and counterattack while the opponent's vulnerable; it doesn't have to be *anime* shenanigans like we see in Soulcalibur (that'd defeat the purpose of *this* game), but certain flashy techniques *were* in fact used in real combat when the performer thought it'd give them an advantage in the fight. *Another* thing I'd recommend is to allow for the possibility of *ring outs* when fighting on an *elevated* stage like the gallows; knocking someone off a high ledge, *especially* onto hard ground covered in jagged rocks or something similar, *would* in fact incapacitate them, *ending* the fight, and if the opponent couldn't *swim* , or was wearing clothing or armor that was too *heavy* to allow them to swim, knocking them into deep water would *also* end the fight. So whaddya think of my suggestions; it'd defeat the purpose of this game to do everything *exactly* like Soulcalibur, but not *everything* in Soulcalibur is completely unrealistic. I honestly think implementing these things to a reasonable extent would actually make the combat in this game *more* realistic, since in a life or death fight, people are gonna do whatever they think will help them *win* the fight.

To my knowledge, short war axes most often had thin spines (as you can see here), rather than typical thick wedge shapes, for the express purpose of penetration. After all, the goal is not to chop wood. However, the weight itself obviously does lend a bit more towards some blunt impact.

Interesting game. If someone ever wants to play an RPG game in climates from the 17th century for a computer, they should get along with the creators of this game. It would play on the computer, for example, in "7th Sea" RPG. I wonder if they will add Steppe Nomad characters such as Mongol Warrior. Or Janissary or Spachis.

@@matejkubala7221 No, Jędrek is Jędrek. Jánošík in Polish is Janosik, and he's very famous in Polish folklore and we see him as our own Polish (highlander - Góral) "Robin Hood"/"bandit". Eh, I'm pretty sure Hungary controlled southern Tatras then (for centuries in fact, after they took those lands form Poland), even during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Terczowa should have still been de jure part of Hungary. Jędrek is a entirely fictional character created for the Hellish Quart game, but he's definitely inspired by the historical Janosik and his life's story.

@@matejkubala7221 You and the Polish Górals are basically the same people, well more or less, just on the opposite sides of the same mountain range, divided by historical circumstances, well technically by Hungary when they took those lands from Poland 1000 years ago. And yes, he did, but technically it was against Hungary, but under the control of the Habsburgs, which were kings of Hungary by then. The Austro-Hungarian Empire formed first in 1867. In Poland we see Janosik as the "Polish" Robbin Hood, who lived like a mountain bandit by stealing from the richer nobles, but with more of a positive spin on the story, as he was apparently loved by the poorer local population as according to legend.
