Pounded a lot of posts in my youth with a Shaver post driver on the front of a Allis Chalmers WD45.... They worked good. beat the hell out of digging them in by hand. Thanks Erik.

That's how this one is supposed to be mounted, I decided I needed another skid loader attachment instead. It's pretty slick.

That’s very cool. My neighbor has one on his John Deere, but hit a rock and you can shatter the post. We put in mostly steel posts and the skid steer pushes them down.

I'm hoping to put it to use soon. I would believe that about hitting rocks, could make the post into kindling. Lots of t posts here as well.

We have a JD pounder, works the same.. it's a little wiggly on the skid steer though. Got more weight on it. It pounds railroad ties. Without a pilot hole.. just not really straight. Drill a 6" or 8" hole about 30" deep, and they come out straight.

They are pretty neat. I found this one on auction and I adapted it to fit the skid steer. Hopefully it will get used soon.
