Post-op Detrans: Sexual Function after the Surgery

#detransition #transition #lgbt
Post-op detrans: sexual function after the surgery.
I am a detransitioned male. Last year i posted a video titled "My Detransition Story: The dark truth behind gender dysphoria and transition regret." Ten years ago i had vaginoplasty aka bottom surgery or SRS (sex reassignment surgery).
In this video i'm going to discuss the sexual function after this kind of bottom surgery. The surgery that was performed on my body was called penile inversion with scrotal graft. The reason i'm making this video is for informative purposes. A lot of people don't realise what exactly the surgery does some people believe that your original genitals are being removed. They are not being removed. They are mutilated and transformed.
Furthermore, in this video i touch on the topic of sexual function after srs. This include sensitivity. Is it possible to experience sexual pleasure after the surgery? Is it possible to achieve an orgasm after the surgery? How exactly does your junk work now? Is penetrative sex possible and does it feel good? Can you have sex after SRS? I will try to answer those questions but keep in mind that everyone's experience is different. Not everyone will have the same experience as me. Some won't be able to orgasm at all whereas others haven't been sexually disabled in the process at all.
If you define sexual function as the ability to reproduce, then no, the post-op genitals don't possess that function. At least not with the current medicine and technology.
This video focuses exclusively on the surgery performed on males (either transwomen or detransitioned men). I will discuss the ftm surgery (metoidioplasty and phalloplasty) and its complications and sexual function in another video with someone who is more knowledgeable on this subject.
00:00 - Intro
03:04 - It's not all bad
04:20 - Was my penis removed?
05:45 - What does vaginoplasty actually look like?
08:20 - Sensation after the surgery
09:57 - Can you orgasm after SRS?
14:19 - Can i still ejaculate?
17:53 - Is penetrative sex possible?
24:15 - Sexual intimacy is more than penetration
26:18 - What about ftm?

I learned something new today. I honestly thought the nerve damage would be bigger and that inevitably the person would feel much less touch, but much more pain. So I was really surprised to hear it can work pretty much the same as before and that you won't inevitably loose ability to achieve orgasm. I thought it would be much worse. And moving prostate and ability to ejaculate blew my mind too. It is so weird. I am glad it is not all bad and that is sadly also probably the reason why people are still deciding to go trough it instead working on accepting their body. I admire your courage and thank you for your honesty. I wish people considering those surgical procedures would stumble on your videos so they would made their decision based on full and very honest information.

I don't personally know anyone F to M post op, but I have researched in depth and watched videos from many people who had it done and describe their experiences, much like yours. There are quite a few different options of phallo and meta. Full phalloplasty involves taking a skin graft from forearm, thigh, or back, and creating a phallus that is surgically attached around the clitoris after releasing the ligaments attached to the head of the clit, as is done in metoidoplasty, to allow the full length of the clit to be released. Meta involves that ligament releasing procedure, but without a graft to form a fuller sized phallus around it. The release can involve some vulva tissue being used to build up a sort of shaft under the clit head, though. I believe it is up to the patient how much reconstruction they want done, as both the phallo and meta can include several other things like testicle implants, urethral lengthening to allow for standing to pee out of the newly formed penis, and different types of penile implant devices to allow for erections. The chances of serious complications are very high, depending on how much surgery is done. The urethral lengthening has a high rate of failure and often leaves the patient with risky ongoing infections and urinary issues that cannot be repaired. Hair grows within the newly created extended urethra, causing pockets of infection. I have seen trans men get septic infections that nearly killed them due to this. Another major devastating complication is when parts of the grafted phallus or extended clitoris tissue become necrotic, often leading to actual death of part or all of their genitals. Fistulas can also happen. I saw one trans man left with a colostomy bag due to ongoing fistula formation. Some do end up with very natural looking results and are able to have a successful recovery, but it's very risky.

@k.b.k it obviously can’t be “beneficial surgery”, it’s not to cure any desease in order to prolong someone’s life for example. It’s a cosmetic surgery going against the nature destroying what was given to you. People scream “accept yourself! Love yourself!” Well that’s what I want to tell to trans people - accept yourself and your body. You can dress whatever you want wear make up and shit but don’t do the damaging surgery the docs are just after your money … take care of yourselves people love yourself they way you are

I am curious if you were circumcised prior to your bottom surgery? I know in Europe most men are not circumcised like in the US. I am against routine infant circumcision because 1. It's unnecessary and 2. It removes the most sensitive nerve endings and the frenulum. If you were uncut and your foreskin was kept and utilized in your reconstruction, then you likely have more sensitivity possibly than without it.

As someone who knows a lot about drugs, prostitution, Mexican cartels etcetera I can promise you that less than 1% of people who actually want bottom surgery would be able to get it if it were made illegal and that most black markets for genital surgery will not be easily found. At this point I don't think people are really being protected from medical complications under the current Healthcare System we have. A lot of Surgeons are ending up with results that I would expect to be created in a back alley somewhere. Fgm can be compared some muslims may be able to get it done but most doctors arent running to do these surgeries.

I have such and admiration of your character. I hope this video reaches out to the people that needed most. I am here for you Alexander. I will try to lift you up, pray for you, love you, talk to you. Let me know were I can send you my personal information, in case you want to reach out. We can use the WhatsApp application. You are a really special person. I can believe you are in Norway and I live in Puerto Rico. My brother lives in USA and he is a transwoman. I feel I lost him. I expressed concern for his health and he thinks I am a transfobic or a bigot. Is been really hard on me because I am concerned about his mental and physical health.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I can’t even imagine going though what you went through. I think the psychology behind who identifies as transgender hasn’t caught up to the reality. I think we need to look at each detransitioner the same way we look at plane crashes. Each case should be looked at in detail. What factors led someone to transition? What factors led them to detransition? What can be done to prevent people from transitioning and regretting it? I have listened to quite a few videos of detransitioners, most say they basically stopped taking hormones on their own and there was no follow-up with a doctor. To me, the data about detransitioners just isn’t there. I’ve heard stories of people going on hormones after one visit with a doctor, people under the age of 18 getting surgeries. Something is wrong with how we deal with people who have gender dysphoria. I don’t think many people might realize how difficult it is to be a guy (not saying women have it easier, just that it may not be as simple as some people think), boys / men are complex (not the stereotype men just care about food and sex). There’s a lot of peer pressure to be “manly”. Emotions are seen as a weakness and men are supposed to be strong. Imagine being bullied just because you’re a caring person. It can be easy to feel like you don’t fit in. Not to mention society telling you that you are privileged. You’re straight so you’re labeled as close minded. Being trans I feel like gives a certain identity. You’re basically the enemy of the world, the patriarchy, sexist, inherently racist, privileged, etc. It really kills whatever little self esteem you might have. Men see you as weak, probably do things like call you gay. Maybe you have friends on the left, but as a straight white male you feel like an outsider there as well. Being trans you have a group of people that instantly accepts you. You have an identity, a purpose. Eventually though that fantasy might disappear. Instead of finding yourself you strayed furthur from yourself. You thought you were choosing your own path, when in reality you were just going along the same path as everyone else. Thinking for yourself means you’re always going to be upsetting someone. Nobody has to be all politically left or right, but when you’re a part of a group like that, it can be tough to go against the grain. It’s tough finding your own way when you’re depressed and alone. It’s tough to be happy with yourself when you are being bullied. It’s tough to be happy with yourself when society is telling you you’re something you know you’re not.

"Just accept yourself" is easier said than done. If SRS is as bad as you say, I'd rather just get it cut off.

See you’re just talking about sex, you’re forgetting about basic things such as urination. Some people can’t have the surgeries fixed because it will ruin their ability to urinate.

In this video I wanted to focus specifically on sexual function post-op since it's a topic that isn't much discussed. I have made videos on other complications before. Ritchie talked more about problems with urinating. I have a video with him where we talked about this issue among many other things.

Hey Alexander, may I ask if you are gay and/or still consider yourself as part of the LGBT community? Do you have Instagram?

Hey. Yeah, I'm gay. Whether I'm a part of LGBT community? Well, I depends. I suppose I'm a member of the community simply by the virtue of being the G part but I don't necessarily consider myself a member of any community for that matter. I'm highly individualistic and not a big fan of belonging in groups. Andd while I'm in a gay relationship, I don't really hang out at gay bars or attend pride events. I do have an Instagram account but don't really use it.

@@alexanderl9721 I agree. We are like a minority inside a minority. The struggle is real 🫠. But that also makes us independent souls who only seek validation within themselves - which is healthier anyway.
