Post-match reactions from the 18th game of our Singapore Premier League campaign.
It was a golden chance to take a lead at the top of the table ahead of this Sunday's clash against Albirex Niigata (S). Playing against a Brunei DPMM team that spent the whole season in the bottom half of the table, the expectation was that the Sailors would record an easy win.
However, Brunei DPMM played excellently, and took an early lead after some confusion at the back. Then came the turning point of the game, when debutant Bailey Wright was sent off for denying DPMM a goalscoring opportunity. Although the Sailors did score a goal, it was ultimately not enough. Not even fellow debutant Richairo Zivkovic could conjure up anything in attack to help the Sailors get a point from the game. A well-deserved victory for Brunei DPMM.

Was at this match. My brother, knowing that I'm an avid football fan and collector of jerseys, bought me a Lion City Sailors jersey from Singapore thinking it was 'Singapore' last Christmas 😂. Anyhow I vowed to see a game and wear the shirt if I ever made it there and so this was it... maybe I brought the ban luck, sorry guys! Also went to see Geyland v Hougang at Our Tampines (historically wacky ground) and yeah what do you know? They lost too... tough luck but will keep on supporting LCS from America/Qatar...

Hey eddy.... Massive respect for your fans for abstaining in saying anything to the GK..out of respect....not many fan groups (in fact in the world) will be able to do that...that's makes us proud as Singapore football fans.....we are unique..... About the ref... I share the same sentiments bro.... Nothing against the guy personally but I just hope more has to be done with the quality of referees.... That will be excellent representation of Singapore at international platforms....hope that will improve and the only consolation is that the issue is not up against one club but all clubs...

Haha he was horrendous in the Balestier game he reffed too! That second yellow for Daniel Goh, and the yellow for Madhu for timewasting in the 38th min without prior warning - that is not how you officiate a game
