I attended Regis Prograis vs Jose Zepeda in person in LA. I was sitting next to the steps. While the fight was going on I noticed Bivol making his way up the steps I was sitting next to. He stopped and shook my hand and took a pic with me. Made my day!

The only fellow Mexican national around Canelo is Munguia who isn't at his level. Canelo's the one who unified 3 divisions and at 175 fought 2 of the 3 Russian light heavyweight champs while the 3 of them have still never fought each other once with Bivol never unifying period.

Bivol can adapt to any style. Beterbiev won’t beat him. We’ve seen Parker vs Wilder today. a very talented pure boxer like Bivol will always beat a puncher. Usyk as an example.

Beterbiev is a boxer puncher though! Amateur record of around 300 fights (including beating Usyk) in the same soviet boxing system as Bivol with 5 losses and multiple world championships. His power gets all the attention because he has a 100% KO record.

It might interest you to know that Yarde turned down this fight with Bivol AND was offered 7 figures to take it... also Aziz, and Buatsi turned it down as well..... Arthur was fourth on the list, and the only one who would take this fight, and that was due to the money (guaranteed $400k minimum)

Bivol also dismissed Beterbiev talks earlier in the year and also the Canelo rematch. Bivol chose to sit out inactive for a year just to turn up fighting a second tier gatekeeper.

Not so, he has had surgery on his left hand in April, and a divorce to contend with . He has stated that mentally he needed time off to deal with "other things", and who can blame him? Gvozdyck is a class act, but he was lower in the rankings than those who refused to fight Bivol. Also, it is not the fighter who chooses the opponent here.I just dont see Gvosdyck with a high enough profile name to compete from a financial point of view...I mean who outside die hard boxing fans have ever heard of him? At least with a better known name you get the Brits interested in the fight.

Beterbiev KO`s Bivol. Bivol doesn't have the power to keep Beterbiev off him.

Bivol is a much more polished fighter but Artur is brute force and just doesn't give a hoot. Bivol has not ever faced a Artur. Bivol has been horribly maaged the last couple of years. He should have earned a record payday against Canelo in the rematch. Instead, he let his ego get in the way, thought he was the A-side, and negotiated his way out of the fight. Way to go, Dmitry.

CAP. Bivol wanted to rematch Canelo at his weight for undisputed but Canelo only wanted to fight Bivol at 175 again,he wanted same deal as before. Bivol said what benefit is that for him? He already beat him at his weight class,he gave him a title shot so why won't you give him a shot at undisputed? He was willing to go down in weight to face Canelo in his own weight class and Canelo declined. Canelo didn't want to put his belts on the line. Either way Canelo would be Aside. Bivol wants belts. That's why he has already signed his half of the contract to fight Arthur. He is after legacy. The big money payday will come if he can beat Arthur B. And become undisputed. I thought it was scored correctly at 115-113) in their first fight at 175, then why not fight him again at the same weight? Who cares about belts? There are too many and nobody cares about them except casuals. Bivol could have made legacy $ for the rematch, but instead is an undercard fighter once again. As for belts, it's easier now more than ever to become undisputed, and nobody cares. Devin Haney, Josh Taylor, Jermell Charlo, and Teo are just a few who held all 4 belts, and none of them are PPV stars on their own, are they? Used to be where becoming undisputed was reserved for only the elite of the elite--Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Mike Tyson, Evander, etc. Now? Cory Spinks, Zab Judah, and the guys I mentioned. Even a B-level guy like Caleb Plant was one win away from becoming undisputed before he got smashed like a bug by Canelo. Bivol should have taken whatever Canelo offered if he was so confident. He effed up.

I might be wrong but I feel like Sergey Kovalev in his prime was better than Beterbiev and Bivol. He was a puncher with a good job and beautiful footwork.

Google it. Beterbiev had little name recognition then and had no belt yet preferred fighting a pointless stay busy fight.
