Post Analysis Stability & Seismic Checks in UBC 97 | Story drift and torsional irregularity checks

This video shows model stability and analysis results based structure serviceability checks that should be done as UBC-97, before proceeding with design of the structural elements. The already drawn model is a low-rise structure.
After analysis run, stability of model is checked by investigating the Negative Eigenvalue. The video then shows how to make an excel calculation sheet to investigate Story Drift Ratio, Story Drift and Displacement based checks to investigate if the building will behave in serviceable limits during or after earthquake. The last part of video shows how to do torsional irregularity checks in excel by developing the sheet.

What to do if my model pass in all drift and displacement checks but somehow still gets extreme irregularity and irregularity exists in some lateral load cases?

Do I need to consider torsional irregularity for 2 storey residential. Building due to architectural arrangements of column and beams

Most of the codes suggest to calculate torsional irregularity, largely for the structures experiencing lateral loads. For instance, Seismic Design Category of your building will suggest to calculate this irregularity or not.
