The one in asylum when they said joker told them to kill someone so he drove over the first woman he could find. That's the most messed up one

There was also a dialog in the steel mill (in arkham city) where some guy was talking about how he killed his mom with a bomb in her birthday cake or something like that? That was the most messed up for me lol

That went from 'Giggity' to 'OH GOD' in record time. It's suddenly understandable why the thug became a thug; Mother ruined her own life and her son was along for the ride. It'd be next to impossible to escape the lowest depths of society after that, without an naturally gifted iron will to rise above it; and there would be no guarantee that you could survive attempting to do so. That's just sad and depressing, straight up, though the thug probably wouldn't appreciate the pity.

What makes it worst is that due to the large population of Gotham being in the millions, and crime and corruption ever constant the chances of having a normal life in the city are extremely low (not even the wealthy elite are immune to such things.)

From town bike, to the potato peeler, I was just as surprised, as the lads next to him. Thank for this gem.

I can't help but note that the thug DIDN'T say anything about his mom being in an asylum. That tells you everything you need to know about how messed up Gotham's legal system is. The people running things WANT it to stay broken.

The story makes it sound like she was a minor when that occurred, and she is clearly mentally unstable. She most likely spent like 1 year (Prom is for Seniors) in the Asylum & got out when she hit adulthood.

If someone is mentally unstable enough to just murder people out of nowhere then she will be checked extensively by psychiatrists before even considering letting her re-enter society. And if she's slightly under the age of majority she can be tried as an adult anyway. It's much more likely that she either didn't get caught at all (due to the abundance of other known psychopaths) or spent that guy's whole childhood in a mental institution and was released slightly before his high school prom.

The very land that Gotham sits on is rotten and actually cursed. Not to mention you have the court of owls which is basically the illuminati making sure that Gotham stays completely screwed and that no policies that would make the place better actually stick around. No matter how many social services Bruce helps prop up they always fall apart. Even batman is just a product of that environment and to some extent is a tool of the owls and the curse. He kind of keeps it all from just imploding. He is fighting against the inevitable. While in some ways perpetuating the issues.

Arkham City actually implies this may very well be a real possibility. Remember Wonder City? There’s a Lazarus Pit under Gotham. Ras keeps coming out crazier after every resurrection.

Apparently, at least in the comics, Gotham is actually cursed, and the curse is literally designed to bring out the worst in everyone who lives there. That's why no matter how hard Bruce tries, both as batman, and using his resources as a billionaire to improve police forces, schools, infrastructure and everything else constantly, it never gets any better. He's literally fighting a curse every single day of his life, trying to save a city that can't be saved. A curse that, might I add, I believe was placed upon it by, I kid you not, a demonic bat god by the name of barbatos ironically enough 😂

For me the craziesr and best dialogue is right after you defeat Two Face in AC, the Thugs next to the church where arguing about certain rumours(about Joker being sick) but one Thug mistake for some rumor that Harley Quinn was trans and he says something like "Oh, that rumor that Harley was a guy" "no no, that Joker is sick" lmao imagine that crazy gossip and theories these Thugs might have about these crazy supervillains 😂😂😂😂 i love the Arkhamverse.

Guy is trying to sell weapons and the customer recognises him and goes “I know you, didn’t you kill my brother back in Arkham city?” to which he replies “yeah aren’t you the guy who burned my buddies face off with acid? You don’t see me holding grudges”

"Ayy your mother is downbad fr fr" "Nah not really... She just kills people when shes drunk"

Arkham dialogue is peak. One time in city I heard thugs saying stuff, then they started talking about the asylum and how crazy it was. Then one of em said what? And they asked if he wasn't in the asylum at the time of titan joker and he said no. They called him lucky

That escalated quickly, I mean that really got out of hand fast

I hope there are thug or police officer interactions or something like this in SSKJL

The I guess at the end is so genuine and hilarious
