I’m an avid football watcher (birds just don’t get me all giddy). Thank you for this explanation. I needed it to be KISS. Love how you kept it simple but threw in some great dry humor. Love the references to 1992 and the Great Wall of china. American football really is the most complicated simple game. (Caveman voice) “YOU, hike me ball. Me, pass or throw ball while you guys kill those guys and keep them busy, y’all over der, HEY, HEEEEEEY, CATCH THIS THING!!! TOUCHDOWN!” My rendition. (Ugly, I’m aware.) I have now subscribed. Start as early as you can you’ll have so much more experience than other kids by the time you’re in high school and make sure you learn to be aggressive

Hey thanks! This is a great video, I’ve decided to join the spring football we have at our school. Even tho it’s coed I’m the only girl (kind of cool ig??) I joined mostly for the conditioning but honestly learning plays and figuring out what I’m good at is making me more interested. I need to figure out more about football and different positions and how it just works in general. This is great, also love the humor. Thank you for the great video! Maybe you can use these bird's eye view animations here to explain confusing football jargon like 'Spider 2 Y Banana' (not sure what Spider 2 is, Y is the tight end, a banana route is probably a long slightly curved route like a banana's curve but isn't a drag route a similar shape? ).

what's the difference between an edge rusher and a defensive end. I though they were the same thing before i heard specific linebackers and d-linemen being called DEs and others getting called edge rushers. Whats up with that?

would like to play football here in philippines, problem is we dont know how to play it right because football is not common here

@@theogalinatoLast year, one of my friends gave me his football since he's not interested in football. Brought it to school every PE, practiced throwing it, played flag football with my classmates. We didnt know much about the rules tho so we were just running and passing lol.

It really depends on what you want to do ,but I would say yes join the team even if you only want to play a little. This is the only time in your life that you get to play this game at a high school level. because you only have four years of high school even if your bad it doesn’t matter your young so you have time just go out and have some fun playing.

6'2, 220 pounds. Going to start school tomorrow (9th grade). I have no experience playing football and tomorrow is practice, I don't get to pick a position but hopefully A guard or tackle. I am not really athletic or have I ever played a sport really, I was wondering should I play or not?

You should definitely play. It’s fun if you have some passion or interest in it, teams and friends made are really supportive and you’ll know them in ur classes and in the halls, you’ll know coaches and teachers. Practices can be long you will learn really quick and pick it up. I regret not doing sports sooner in Highschool
