This is cool. The whole time was worried that the paint you were laying down in so many layers was going to dry out before you printed it. Beautiful result. Kinda reminds me of SpongeBob Squarepants background,

Well that was very cool! I was so sure that the Posca paint would be totally dry and just stick to your gel plate. But it didn't! It worked perfectly! Thank you so much for this tip!!!

any paint that dries on the gel plate will release with another layer of paint. that's the beauty of the Gel Plate!
That is beautiful and looks like fun to create as well.

Hello Olhamo and thank you for being here. I’m always thrilled to know that my name comes up in other art workshops or online groups! The Gel Plate is a fabulous tool for just playing with color and escaping our reality for just a little while. I hope you will enjoy it!
Every time you make gel prints, I can’t help but imagine you later tearing them into tiny pieces and creating your gorgeous paper-painting art! I lived in Hawaii so anything with a Hawaiian vibe is special to me.

Hi and thanks so so much. RubberMoon have gone to wholesale or require you to be a patron. However, you can purchase several of the designs from me on my website: www.paperpaintings.com/shop
Love your gel print. I find I get a bit carried away with my gel printing. As I am mad on colour, I find everything just gets too busy and I start to rush things, but it seems if the paint dries on the gel plate it doesn't matter. Gel printing is fun but there is a skill in making prints look good. Also, my Poscas tend to dry out. Is it because I store them upright instead of laying them down? Love your collage work too.
@ElizabethStHilaire
2 жыл бұрын
Yes you should store all markers flat in a drawer. And the way that you can keep your gel prints from getting too busy is to use analogous color schemes

The stamp is most definitely still available, it’s just that rubber Moon has gone to a wholesale format. So you have to sign up for their two dollar per month Patreon in order to order stamps from them. But get on my mailing list, as I will soon be offering access to their stamps if you are a member of my Patreon.

@@ElizabethStHilaire Thank you so much. I just tried a pink chalk marker and it didn't want to dry. Could use some other help though please -- I did a black and turquoise drawing on my plate w/Posca markers, let it dry, did a nice pull using Titan Buff... but now I cannot get the black posca ghost marks off of my plate. Tried baby wipes, and warm water and soap. And 4 additional pulls with diff types of acrylic paint. Any ideas? maybe Baby Oil? Thanks

Love this! I keep trying this technique and it just doesn't work. Now you say use a heavy layer of acrylic as the final layer. I had thought it was supposed to be a thin layer which dries before you pull it. But you pulled it wet. OK, ma'am~~~I'm gonna try it this way!!! :-)s
@ElizabethStHilaire

I’m sure there’s more than one way to do it. But what do you need to do is get the moisture from the last layer to release the paint from the first layer. It’s about the moisture

It’s not a secret password, they are asking you to join their Patreon page for two dollars a month in order to help supplement the cost of the rubber stamps. So basically they’re only offering them through their Patreon page, sort of like a wholesale club membership.
