Purple is actually violet with a little more blue. Violet and yellow are complimentary colors and make a shade of brown, purple and yellow together make another shade of brown, perhaps a dull brown. Purple, yellow, red and blue on the other hand make a 'dark crimson' color or just another light brown.

My favourite memory of this song: first heard it in Seattle outside of downtown Hard Rock, it was hella busy but felt like a concert inside even though this was playing on their stereo and screens. I have watched this video so many times. PYR&B was my introduction to Portugal. The Man and it remains one of my favorite songs/music videos. I could sit here and analyze it forever, but I think the basic gist of the imagery is "selling out", in essence, to achieve a level of comfort in your survival. However, the more successful your work, the more eyes are on you-- watching and judging. You can see your own life played out on a screen. Everything turns into a facade, and eventually reality seems fake-- YOU become fake. But, in this fake reality, if nothing really matters, you might as well indulge in your most primal desires and find entertainment/joy/pleasure where you can.

@@LetxiaC aw glad I could help!! Also, regarding your other comment, are you referring to the Dia De Los Muertos-type imagery? At the most basic surface level, I would say it was a cool visual way for them to incorporate the theme of death. Perhaps because the lifestyle they're portraying in the video is flashy, glamorous, and beautiful on the outside, while it has extremely dark implications lurking just beneath what meets the eye!

I'm not an expert on the holiday and mostly just know about the candy skulls/associated that with the art style, so my interpretation of that element could be misguided, but that's how I read the Latin imagery so I hope that makes sense!

Literally this is the best song ever! This is my favorite song right now!! I still listen to it daily for hours! It explains my entire life and I haven't gotten tired of this yet! It came on in TGI Fridays and I still jammed way too hard! Please let this song get super famous! It's amazing :)
