@@IreneRudnyk I wondered why near the end of the first guitar portrait when needing to remove the one area on the jaw that you went through that long procedure when likely the erase tool would have solved the problem or even by using clone/stamp tool. GTW -- nice facial views and nicely posed which so often are not done in today's concept of doing a portrait. Just wish that in the full length the arm holding the dress up had move the hand up toward the hip a bit to get some bend in the arm. Not sure why you went to PS with the self portrait with no explanation etc. Will keep an eye out for more of your tutorials as I have learned from every creator I have found even though since L2018 I have not extended the purchase mostly because for a step forward, often Skylum goes a few backward and still has not created the W10 version equal to the MAC version.

Nice video! I just hit the subscribed button!! My only complaint about Luminar AI is that it's too hard to resist. I was getting really good at my Photoshop editing and fear that I will completely defect to Luminar for most editing. What useto be a WOW! Look at what I can do is now WOW! Look at what Luminar can do. Yeah, there is human intervention and manipulation but the RAW artist component is gone. Needless to say, I'm Luminar all the way. Time is an important consideration in most lives. Buying Luminar is like buying thousands of hours of extra time annually.

I don’t think about it that way because it’s still you operating the software and choosing what looks good and what not. That’s what’s hard about editing, it’s not knowing how to do a certain technique it’s knowing how to put it all together and what actually looks good.

Dear Irene, luv your work and would luv to purchase Luminar AI, but currently it does not support the Canon R5 / R6 cameras. Can you get Skylum to at least give an indication as to when the Canons R5/6 will be supported directly, without the standard Skylum response that shots need to be converted to DNG .. ? Many Thanks, Chris

I did ask them and they said that “they are working on it” so not sure when it’s going to be available.

@@IreneRudnyk Funny - I had the same question - little strange that they indicate it supports CR3 files on their site, but it has problems with the R5 - little disappointing, but I guess I'll have to take the extra step of converting to DNG for a while.

One eye smaller the the other is a very common issue. But Luminary enlarges only both, which is useless as the smaller eyes are concerned. Do u know if they plan to fix that?

You can fix that in photoshop in liqufy , but that a great tip for Luminar, I’ll mention it to them for sure

Hi Irene, you surprisingly convinced me of buying Luminar as I rarely feel like software's are worth buying mostly if I rarely use them. I just took Lightroom yesterday at 10USD/Month and it's already dumb in my opinion that you save 0$ by paying 12 months up front vs 1 month lol. I hate also to rent license since it gets way more expensive in the long or even short run. How about Luminar, they don't say anywhere if it's 108$CAD - 10% for just 1 year or if it's a lifetime license for my own computer. Also what about their "Aurora HDR" is it worth the extra to get it bundled? Other than that yes it would be nice that you do more video with it cause even if I consider myself a very advanced photography amateur, I know I'm no pro editor and Photoshop is just way too complicated and zero user friendly versus Lightroom Classic or Luminar as you shown. I don't want to waste 10-20min per photo on a set, on a picture that took me 1min or only a few sec to do if you see what I mean. Thanks again otherwise for the infos, tutorial video and the 10% discount!

So it’s one time purchase of Luminar Ai and you get free updates, BUT. What they do is they will most likely come up with a new software in like 2 years or so which you will have to buy again. This happened with Luminar 4, it came out in 2019 and you were able to use it for no extra cost until right now because they came out with Luminar AI ( in my opinion , it’s upgraded lumina4) It makes sense as they obviously want to make money. In my opinion it’s still really good price. $100 for 2 years of using the software-sounds good to me. Hopefully that makes sense and help you out. Now for Aurora HD, can’t help you there as I have never used it myself, but there are tons of tutorials on KZread using it

generally Skylum does a yearly upgrade with intermittent updates so in a way one could say it is subscription too -- just an annual payment but of course you don't have to upgrade whereas LR etc by Adobe is a fee as long as you wish to "rent". There are a couple of other programs that can be considered that offer HDR and all will handle HDR differently. Keep in mind the HDR craze has tapered off but can still be useful if adjusted to taste. The one advantage for you with having Aurora HDR is that you can move easily between the programs and thus obtain the use of Layers which LAi does not offer and seems like they never will as it was removed from L4. Whatever software you decide upon requires some time to learn. Most have very well done tutorials. Also you can learn from folks that comment -- hopefully with useful info. HTH YMMV
