If these strangers only knew how lucky they were to have an amazing photographer like yourself take their photos. 😊 Amazing job!!! Bravo!!

Right?
Great video! I'm inspired to go out and do this... again. About 10 years ago, I completed a "100 Strangers Project". I'm a shy person and I'm pretty strongly introverted and, at the time, I wanted to figure out a way to improve both my interpersonal skills and my portrait photography skills (while also directly confronting my shyness). The "100 Strangers Project" was the ideal way to develop both skill sets! It was really hard at first. I was nervous with every stranger I approached. But as I did it more and more, I got more comfortable with it (even when I was rejected, which, ironically, was a necessary part of the project and and important part of my development as a photographer; I needed to demonstrate to myself that I could fail and/or be rejected and that I could keep going anyway). The project ended up being one of the more important, valuable, and influential experiences in my life as a photographer.

This is such a fantastic idea!
I would have never attempted this taking photos of strangers in a crowd, THINKING that the background was too busy. But you nailed it. Super job.

Shooting at 1/640 - 1/800 w/ F2 helps eliminate any need for background concern. Lighting has to be good though, because it looks like she's only allowing for 100 ISO the entire time.
Definitely take more photos of strangers. These are some of your best images. Real characters and despite no preparation come across really well especially using f2 which you seemed to use for most if not all. Great colour and atmosphere.
I think would be a great series to start. Images came out awesome.

9:39 “well as long as you pay us” - Irene you have such a professional dedication and I love your response to this statement on the field. You put some much work and energy into this 🙏 You are on top of your passion! Thank you for sharing so much of yourself 🙌
Excellent photography and even more important great social skills engaging with people to get the best out of the occasion. Well done Irene.

Agreed. One of my favorite videos that you have done!
this was awesome Irene!!! It's hard to stop random people and take their portrait. You did a such a great job
I've done this. At the Calgary Stampede. Some of my favorite photos I've ever taken came from that day but only after some of the most nerve-racking moments in my life having to build up the courage to ask to take a total stranger's photo. Thanks for this video and the memories it brought back!

I agree with that sentiment, it was great to watch !
I enjoyed every bit of it. please do more. Everyone who got this privilege to be in your frame are blessed.
I absolutely adore how you effortlessly captured photos of random people, and the results turned out to be fantastic! Your work continues to inspire us all, and we're grateful for you sharing this incredible photo shoot with us. Keep up the excellent work!
Irene, Thank you for posting this video! I love seeing how you interact with the people at the fair. Posting your Camera settings and camera body and lens for each shot is like icing on the cake for me. I shoot Street Photography and Street portraits at a lot of fairs, festivals, and Western events in Texas, and seeing you in action was informative and so very entertaining as well. Such a great channel, thanks again!!!
showing us the rejections make them seem way less terrifying, and your talent and efficiency with these portraits is truly impressive! fantastic video.
I liked how you complimented the subjects. Makes them more likely to pose for others, plus probably made them feel good.
It’s so fun to see people’s reactions and then also see the amazing images you end up with! 🎉 do more!
Irene...These were great, it looked like so much fun. I think you should do this more often. Please visit NYC, Toronto, or Vancouver and do photos in an urban environment. I think they would be awesome

Great idea!!
This is a strong move to create brand awareness! This is something I completely forgot about. There are 2 festivals happening this month in Nottingham and I'm going to to do something just like this! Thanks Irene
Honestly, I loved this video. I started following you when you were doing creative pics in the backyard shed and this reminds me of that.
Loved it. Being shy and introverted myself it's hard for me to even consider doing this, yet every time I see a video like this I am inspired to give it a try. Hope I work up the courage to do so. I'd love to see more like this for sure.
Great video! Love it. An important lesson seeing all these great results without you obsessing over placement and background, just whatever was close and let the wide aperture and stampede colours do the rest. Also the ability to interact and send photos right away actually seems really helpful interacting with people, showing you're willing to share the photos right then and there is quite an ice breaker and something I need to look into for my somewhat older gear and old school physical instead of cloud storage. Admittedly, this video also makes me wonder if we've hit a point where people will react to "I'm shooting for youtube" as something more normal and understandable than just a photographer taking photos!
Irene, I love this. Love your approach to people and the way you interact with them. So easy going. I so want to try this, but hesitant.
Irene!!! This was so good!!! It was nice seeing you work/interact with regular ppl. As ALWAYS your photos were amazing! 🫶🏽
I would love to see more videos of you taking pictures of strangers!!! The photos came out awesome!!! Very inspiring!
Wish I had the balls to pull this off, I'd just cringe my whole way around "Ask a man, risk him wanting to smack me, ask a women, she'll think I am cracking on her" hahaha the fear is real ;) - awesome to see this refreshing take on your photography Irene, love you usual work but this was cool! Kudos!
Love this Irene! You give me confidence to go out and ask, thank you! 😊
I love this so so much, it's like ultimate people watching but resulting in stunning photos! The best!
I love this! I love your approach! You are so inviting and so fun! It helps to get people out of their shell & feel relaxed!
To an old portrait photographer like myself, this looks like a lot of fun! It reminds me I need to go out and do more spontaneous shooting. I have the Capure 1 app on my iPad, but this idea of using it super mobile with one’s iPhone is definitely something I should try with my Fuji camera and 50 F1.0. Thanks for the great idea, and video.
That one guy that complimented your lens...I'm sure he meant well. 😊 I know the feeling when people focus on the gear over the photographer. It happens.
Love that video. Please more it's just awsome and dynamic!! Great stuff
Simply... AWESOME !!... Love your work always...
Fantastic film and great spontaneous models. I admire your openness, ability to engage random people and of course your photography skills. Looking forward to more street portraits.
Loved this kind of video, capturing people in spontaneous moments !!
That was amazing! Their smiles were so infectious. Made my Saturday!
Irene, you're one of the best. Taking great images on the fly, awesome
That was awesome. Definitely more like this Irene.
this was cool video thanks for doing it...gives me inspiration for when a carnival hits my town...also thanks for sharing how you shared your photos!!!
I enjoyed this sm, & everyone looked so cute cute, wearing unique ensembles.. Love the info on Capture one too !!! Tysm 🔥👏🏼💛
Amazing! We wanna see more of such videos👏🏽
Fantastic video showing how you work and the tech you use well done would love to see more
Fun video. I wonder if any of these folks realized what a treat it was to work with such a super-talented photographer. Would love to see more videos like this.
this was awesome, please do more of these!!!
That was great Irene, you know this will be very popular with upcoming street photographers or young photographers just starting out.
I wanted to take some photos during the last festival in Berlin, but couldn't. I like the confidence that you have and the way you were able to approach people to take their photos.
Love it! It just goes to show that all you have to do is ask, especially if you are cute and petite (I'm neither). Also, I love how you just let them strike a pose with minimal direction. Most folks will strike a natural pose. I thought about you the other day since I haven't been keeping up. I've always liked your work, I'm glad KZread suggested this.
I Loved this video! I’ve followed and learned from you for several years now. Yet for me this video was somehow really special, and I’d enjoy seeing more videos like this from you! Especially if you edited the random strangers using Ai and made them “Themed” or somehow made them into Your Style of image. Also thank you for the CaptureOne info I’m going to look further into it!
This was utterley awesome, you totally rock. I simply don't have the confidence to do this and would worry about permissions, model release forms etc. I'd not know where to start. It is a super informative video, thank you ❤
What a fun day! I like how many of the people responded to the results. I've always loved street-style and other photography that is "in the moment." Thanks for sharing!
LOVE IT!! YOU SHOULD DO THIS MORE OFTHEN... 👏👏👏
Love this Irene!!! Also, love that top on you. ❤
im in love with this woman and her great job ❤
Loved this, beautiful people beautiful photos !!
im coming back to photography again and this videos inspires me to do better the second time around hehe.. thanks irene!
This was such a fun and enjoyable video to watch. Do more of this kind of video!
you are amazing and very creative, keep the good work. thank you
her hearts are perfect!
Yes, I love these random people❤❤❤
Rarely to see the sponsor ads really answers my question! Good job
Yes! Definately! Once in a while a refreshing way to become more famous on KZread. Once those strangers see your other work it's a great way to find more models. Love it!
Awesome job Irene, great fun for everyone involved and we need more fun in the World.
Would love to see more videos like this!
Great video! So many warm feelings and emotions! I was charged with positive for a month in advance. Thank you!
❤Wonderful work as always. Actually your my inspiration for my photography work I'm learning so much for your videos and I really really love your ways of telling stories in your photos it's amazing. Keep up the good work always happy to see your work flow. Thank you so much for making us photographer...😊
This is amazing ✨I assume it must be so nerve racking but kudos to you for being so confident, amazing results 💯, seems like everyone was a model ☺
You are always wonderful photographer. Thanks for sharing
LOVE LOVE - AND YES, DO MORE OUTDOOR PHOTOSHOOTS, I KNOW HARD THOUGHT BUT YOU DEFINITELY DID THE MOST
Loved all the portraits!! But can we talk about their style at 2:47 OMG love it so much!!!!!!! As always beautiful portraits!!!!!!
I loved it! Such a fun video and great photos, Irene!
This was so fun! Please do more videos like this one!
Irene, you are freaking awesome!
Fantastic video, love watching you work. Could you tell us more about the connection cable from camera to your phone and does it have to to be captured 1 only?
Something different from what you normally post, but I like it! Thanks ❤
Super fun photos! My social anxiety would have issues doing this though, going up to strangers and asking to take their photo. I know, I'm a photographer and getting into a field where I have to be social is probably not a good idea. Heck, in my town we even have these "street meets" where all sorts of photographers and creatives come together around an area and just take pictures and have fun. I go to them, but usually for the first hour after I get there I just sit in my car, trying to build up the courage to just get out there. Then once I do I hardly ask anybody there for photos, even though thats the point of the whole meet anyway. I walk around until people as ME to take their photos (unless its somebody I already know) But yeah, you wouldn't catch me at a music fest just asking randoms to take their photos. I'd be having a panic attack.
Great video, Irene. Loved all the shots but it was one with the Canadian flag in the background that warmed my heart most! 🇨🇦🐎
That was sooooo cool! Everyone looks super hip. I'd love to see you do more.

I actually like your set up right now. Amazing. I have capture one/iPhone/cables. I’m going to start doing this.
Lol 'you have a good lens' - way to give you no credit at all!!! Great video - really cool to see how you approach people and put them at ease.
Wow! Beautiful results. Very cool characters and that one girl was just beautiful...can't belive shes not already a model
What an awesome thing to do, for yourself and for others! Loved it :)
That was a fantastic video, Irene. Next time you are out try something I have done, and it is really unique, and people get into it so well. I will find two people like you did, but after I take a couple of shots, I let them take a couple of photographs of each other. It is amazing what people wo know each other so well, find out how they see each other. You will be amazed at the results. Keep on having fun Irene !
Looks like that’s been your go to lens lately. Can’t wait to try it out next week.
Beautiful idea. You should do more of this kind
Very fun to watch this video, I hope to see more videos like this one on your channel, Kisses from Angola, Africa.
SUUUUPER COOL! Think I'm gonna try doing something like that here in Brazil! Inspiring, Irene! Big brazilian hug!
Great video Irene, thank you for sharing.
Really enjoyed this. Thanks
Summer Fest here in Albuquerque today. I love Capture One. Better color than other programs, and tethering is tops, too.

Super cool video! The pics are wonderful and these guys were lucky to bump into Irene at the Stampede!
Excellent work! Great video
Amazing work of art 🙌
What a great concept! I can do this with my LUMIX 2500 direct to my iPhone but never thought of this! Thanks. Great work as usual.
will download it for sure… niceeeee irene 😊
Brilliant Irene ,,, some more videos like this be good
Awesome Lens and images Irene. ❤
The speed you're able to make complete strangers in front of your camera relax so can get the shot is amazing!

The trick is you have to be a people person/social butterfly, they feed off your energy and groovy vibe it makes them relax straight away...get in and get out. I do this all the time at events
