I'm from Croatia/Europe and last year I visited Portland Maine. Have a friend there, in South Portland. I'm in love with that city. Food is excelent, people so nice, craft beers, nice beach, nature... just beautiful. I hope next year will come again and take a beer in Irish Pub Ri Ra, take dosens of donuts in Holy Donut... :-)

I'm so glad you fell on love with the greatest city on Earth, Portland!! When you return (as long as it's not in the winter) take your treats from Holy Donut and take it to the garden behind the Longfellow House on Congress Street. Tourists and even most locals don't know this place exists and it's very special. If you need suggestions on restaurants let me know. We have more restaurants per capita than any other American city.

Very underrated place in the summer!
Portland, ME is that city which never ceases to lift up my spirits every time I am there, regardless of the time of the year. Portland is a joy to my soul. I know where I will be retiring one day, by this melodious song by the sea :-)
Pretty darn accurate. Portland as well has amazing restaurants, craft breweries, and is surrounded by sweet small cottage speckled islands.
I immigrated to the USA this year in Orlando, Florida. Americans are the most kind hearted , generous people . Most of them were authentic and helpful.Long live America.

Bravo! The BEST representation of Portland and the surrounding towns I've EVER seen. This made me wanna walk around the Old Port and drive down the coast myself and I've lived in Portland all my life hahaha.
I wish I appreciated the area more when I went here as family vacations years ago. It truly does have so much beauty

I'll be visiting fall of 2020 to canvass for Senator Susan Collin's Democratic opponent. Until then I'll be boycotting Maine and Maine products...especially LL Beane. The Beane family supports Trump. No more Beane products for me.

Lol as a teen we'd catch the bus home from Portland High in front of Longfellows house. People would go into the gate and we'd seriously say "Oh, Longfellow isn't home." It was so funny how many would say "Oh, Thank You" and start to leave. Fun it was.

We love our city of Portland, after travelling out west and down south I can honestly say "there's no place like home ", LOL. It's a great little city to raise children in...not so much now as 30yrs ago but still pretty ame compared to most states

@@autumn_b905 Sorry for the late reply, it's a rather nice town ~20k people, it's home to Bowdoin College and not too far from Booth Bay Harbor which I found to be a very nice area of Maine. If you're into craft beer, there is a brewery on the former base in the old shooting range called Flight Deck Brewing.

This is a really nice video of Portland. I didn't expect Expedia to do this city. I live 2 hours away from Portland and it's really a wonderful place to visit. Expedia... have you thought about doing a video for San Juan? I was just visiting there a couple weeks ago and I really think San Juan and the people of Puerto Rico deserve to be recognized and have an Expedia video so that more tourists go there because they need tourists badly

I live about an hour away. Guitarists should visit Buckdancer's Choice and then get some baked potato and chive pizza at Otto. Also, if you drive past the main entrance for Popham Beach you will be able to get in for free and visit the fort which is really cool.

I love the United States, I've been lucky enough to visit 13 different States, both East and west coasts, I especially like the vastness of the country, manhatten, Las Vegas, and death Valley, nothing in the UK like them.

Maine great state. Just keep in mind housing very expensive in Portland.. .not sure where you are from. If Boston NY or DC guess you wouldn't call it expensive!

I've lived in Maine my entire life and i've seen casco bay and have looked at the forts, I've been to Portland head light and my grandparent's took there marriage photo there, Beautiful state definitely recommend visiting either during the summer or the fall bc the winters are harsh and pack a big punch.

Visit Portland and the Rockland area for the great restaurants. Visit the coast for the scenery. Stay away from extreme southern Maine as it is a tourist trap. The town of Old Orchard Beach has the best beach. Don’t ask for directions because Mainers will give you wrong directions most of the time. Maine is very safe but don’t pull u turns in driveways. We hate that almost as much as giving directions.
