Love your videos and Happy birthday to Owen! Just a few facts I wanted to share with you about PD. They went from 70 to 74 seat back in 2013 and then subsequently to 76 during their grounding as a result of covid. The old seats were not slimline and were very comfy with a full size tray table, not like the ones you flew on. That little bird only has the 1 LAV and the front....all the lavs used to have running water, but it used to cause problems due to freezing during the cold Canadian winters. So I guess they got rid of the taps. I hope you had a wonderful trip!

Wow, Hudson news is everywhere, LOL. The Q400 is such a classic plane, and I was sorry to see Alaska Airlines discontinue their fleet. Hey your buddy was just showing appreciation for the chips and alcohol is always better than water! Great video as always.

Great video! Porter is definitely on my list of airlines to try! I don't know who designed these new seats but they look hideous.... I miss the old BE Aerospace "Spectrum" seats they used to have... they gave the cabin a rather sophisticated feel, and travelers would have a full sized tray table....

The extra legroom was necessary for the planes to be able to take off on the short runways at Toronto city and make seasonal destinations in Atlantic Canada. A row of seats was removed.

Those new seats are awful. They remind me of the foldable paratrooper seats you see in military transports. As a 6'4" guy, I found them so unbelievably uncomfortable. The legroom was brutal. I swear, the free beer they give hardly makes up for how miserable those paratrooper seats feel on the butt after a 2 hour flight.

It's funny how I knew exactly who was the purser on this flight when he made the announcement! I must say that the new seats are uncomfortable. But their E-jets are way better in comfort. But like in both you still get a really good premium inflight service!

Great Video! Correction, Billy Bishop Airport does not offer U.S. Pre-Clearance like most other Canadian airports do. You have to clear customs once you land in the states

Yeah I realized that after my friend pointed it out. I assumed it did since they do segregate US departures from Canadian departures. Apparently a facility should be up and running this year?

I am going to be going on a plane for the first time in July and I am so scared. I will be taking Porter Airlines to Edmonton from Toronto then WestJet on the way back. Any tips for new times flyers who have a huge fear of flying? 😢

Porter airlines is the only airline that serve from this particular airport where there is plenty of encore planes Q400.

Why there was a ferry ride? Where did the bus loaded you off? At 2:10 you have arrived at your place finally I mean the lounge.....

Hmm...temperature in Montreal is 1° C. Isn't that a heatwave in Canada?

Just a note that YTZ does not have US pre clearance. The Q400 also has 78 seats.

Gees, Porter declining in quality

Do I dare ask who Owen is? A college buddy or a fellow avgeek? Seemingly no digital camera can capture the propeller rotation properly without it looking like the engine quit mid-air! Now that Horizon has retired their Q-400's, are Porter, Westjet and AC the only North American carriers with such creatures in their fleets? That Montreal weather sharply contrasts with Miami's!

I have flown this exact same route on Air Canada last summer in August..(The full route details was: YTZ-YUL. YUL-CAI). this was my very first time flying out of Billy Bishop, despite the fact that i flew from Pearson for a long time, it was a really nice change...I have to say, I really was so impressed by the airport especially from the quick fun boat ride (I was able to take alot of close up pictures of the CN tower as i am a canadian myself) and i certainly love the little lounge area for the gates. I really enjoyed the whole entire experience!...
