Well, the singing is really nice, but it is lessened by the fact that the words aren't Harry's best work. It broke meter and rhyme a lot, to me. Also, it sounded like it should be "For now I'm stuck here singing.....about you"

Actually, a core doesn't have to be attached to her to have an affect. In portal 1,GLaDOS couldn't flood the place with neurotoxin until the morality core was destroyed so as long as it isn't incinerated, the music core will have some affect over her.

Okay you know what? I'm gonna say it: this is better than the original. This has so much more soul to it and I absolutely adore Portal. I love this sweet, sweet song.

I'm usually not a fan of Portal fansongs/animations, but even knowing the original song by heart, I really loved this. The emotion portrayed was amazing and really, REALLY hit home.

Yap WJ If you start like this, let's go all out here. The music core is singing that he sang his song a million times. So, because he's singing that every time someone watches this, we'd have to multiply 1.000.000 × 1.424.497, multiply that with the four minutes, set it into hours, and then into years. I think my result is a bit off, but when we calculate like that, the music core has to have sung this song not a million times, but 10.840.920,8524 years! (It must be a bit off, but with such a number, that's pretty common) Now, I guess that all the cores are made of metal, so lets see if the music core would even survive this ridiculous time. If the core is about 1³ meter, we could estimate his mass, and see how much the corrosion would destroy, but sadly, our little friend wouldn't even survive the million year mark, since all of his exterior had to be corroded long ago. I hope this shows that this core is long gone before his "million songs" could've ever been played.

I like how this brings the idea that the scientists can make their own cores that fit their personality

I love that fact that my grandma enjoys more this version than original.

This is probably the best portal based, but not actually in the games thing I have ever seen. All of your stuff is awesome, but the completely original and unique ideas with stories and characters that aren't in the game itself really blow me away. Keep ot up.

I remember when you first published this video. It hit me deep in the feels and still does every time I watch it. I hope that core he met helped him fix his memory. I can picture it now, them both going on a grand adventure to help him fix his memory and learn new love songs, and maybe even find his creator. So he can sing all the love songs to her like he was created to do. I hope to see some more content about the music core one day Harry. Even in 2021. This song is still great and it punches you into the feelings with a core that misses a part of his life and he sings his memory circuit out.

This is truly a masterpiece. The balance between tragedy and hope nails something that feels so deeply faithful to the spirit of both games, and after 7 years it's still making me tear up every time I watch it. Thank you Harry!

(I think too deeply into things) Music Core's trapped in a paradox here: they can't sing anything but one song and yet it's singing a different song. Granted, it's a parody, but AI-copied from a sentient being or not-wouldn't be able to bend the rules of their programming like that. By telling us their struggle, Music Core's unintentionally shown us that they're in between a status of sentience and being an AI program, allst the while being caught in between ignorance and comprehension of what's going on

Omega, that was his maker uploading herself into a new core. must have set up a program to finish construction of the new core, at the end of the song that is her finding him and then fixing him.

@@evanlongfellow6849 Or similarly too little remaining usable memory (storage corruption due to aging or initial design limitation)? I have seen similar with trying to upload too much code to a teeny Arduino. You just have to make do and give it less/more efficient code. Don't usually see the *unfixable* backfiring part though. GLaDOS is a tad more complex than a standard personality sphere. For example, Cores stay 100% functional at 1.1V, but GLaDOS couldn't even create a lie. Her mind is greatly more sophisticated, so she needs more power to function.
