Same. It take me back to a simple time. A time where I didn't have any big worries.

This song brings me to tears, it was our song. He's been gone long years now, and our children have grown up and have families of their own. Our oldest looks so much like his dad that it's like looking at a photograph of him when he was younger. Lionel's voice is so rich, so full of longing that it pulls these memories right out of me, and the tears flow again. I guess music really is the universal language, it speaks to all of us about things we all experience. Thank you Lionel!

As a late 80's child, I was blessed to be brought up with this music. I've loved it all my life and this is 1 of my favourites. Seeing Lionel Richie live was 1 of the best nights of my life, I highly recommend 😊 If people are new to his music, he has many greats but "penny lover" is also fantastic ❤

I met this guy back in 2007 in Nashville while I was working security at a show he was performing at. Nicest guy in the world. After his performance he gave an autograph to every single person wanting one and thanked all employees who were working the show.

God this hits so close to home. That feeling of longing, knowing you won’t be able to share a romance with someone you so desperately want to, knowing that that persons name will bring butterflies in your stomach but your name is just another name in their mind. That feeling is far worse than any rejection, it’s a permanent doubt in yourself, and a permanent regret that maybe if I said something we would be together, maybe those little instances really mean something, and maybe they are thinking the same thing that I am, that longing but knowing it won’t work. I know that feeling too well
