Games should actually start caring about speedrunners and have the phrases for speedrunners going out of bounds, even if you're sure they can't get there. Like imagine GLaDOS seeing Chell quickly approaching her, knowing, that she is determined and won't stop?

I love w/i stilatching speedruns for games I have no idea the strategies of. I know lots about speedruns for other games so I understand there is probably a great deal of work put into all of the glitches on this game, but I still have absolutely no idea how any of it works. Each game has its own speedrunning rabbit hole and its crazy just to see the surface of it on these speedruns.

It’s a visual bug that happens in e02 sometimes, alongside a fizzler texture and neurotoxin texture. I have no clue what causes it but it’s rare and I got insanely lucky that it happened in this run cuz it looks sick asf

Current human sum of best is around 5:37. The only reasonable timesave save that’s more than a negligible amount of ticks would be the tas vault skip in 00 which would save around 15 seconds. 1 person has ever hit it RTA (ethan, the 3rd place runner), and he wasn’t even able to close the level out with a community gold. That’s not to say we’ll never see it in a run but the likely hood is low. That being said, it would still put the human sum of best at around the low 5:2x range which is still very far from sub 5. It would be naïve for me to say it will never happen but I currently do not see a road that could take us there
