megafan I believe vanilla means un-modded games. No mods were used. And the custom sound comes with the texture pack.

Deep Dave Wheatley has 6 Eyes because wool only has one textured side, that is displayed on the other sides. That is in the texture pack, which Daniel didn't make. And with the long fall boots... Yeah you make a point there. He could give the player feather fall boots which minimize the fall damage but I don't believe that there are boots in the texture pack that look like long fall boots.
