Even the first time I played this section, something felt so, so wrong about that bit.

So creepy how for a whole 3 seconds the panels fell out of order, which represented that for a whole 3 seconds, the entire facility was able to run unregulated. While not major, it is pretty crazy to see how much the central core controls.

A comment on the soundtrack to this scene brought me here, it's interesting to notice that when Wheatley gets attached, a lot of the wires and things to the sides are stripped away. It makes Wheatley-dos look a lot less restrained than Glados did, which is pretty symbolic.

1:32 - I think it’s funny that Wheatley ruins GLaDOS’s day and says “I hate, you.”

I love how you can tell the exact moment Wheatley turns

Wheatley: *lets out an evil laugh* Me: Geez, Wheatley! How many glitches does that body have?!

One of the most intense moments in a game ever. It's hard to believe the end is even more intense.

I love how small Wheatley's head is compared to GLaDOS's when the transfer is complete and he's just like WOOOWWW :D

Chell was lured into a Trap by GlaDOS. GlaDOS attempted to kill her but she realized she sabotage her Turrets and Nurotoxin. When she tried the Nurotoxin, Wheatley arrived, when The announcer said Core Corruption at 80%. Wheatley had an idea, the announcer detected Wheatley as the Substitute Core so Chell plugs him into the port. When Stalemate was detected, Chell was forced to press the Stalemate resolution button to resolve the Stalemate. GlaDOS resisted by using flaps near the Stalemate resolution button to prevent Chell from pressing it, Chell managed to outsmart GlaDOS by using portals to trick the flaps and allowed her to press the button, resolving the Stalemate. The transfer began, after being transferred, Wheatley Betrayed Chell and sent both her and GlaDOS (who is now a Potato battery) into a Pit.

The term "stalemate resolution", adds humor to the context. The term "manual override" adds... what? This is a suspenseful puzzle game, sprinkled with humor. What you perceive as "dumbed down", was done for comedic purposes, not for catering to "the lowest common denominator".
