The sound of that engine. What a machine

Good straight forward review of the Panamera GTS. Many 'reviews' are done with someone just standing there talking about the vehicle...which basically tells us nothing more than what we can see for ourselves at an auto show. The reviewer here clearly shows that she not only knows the car well, but also can drive the car quite admirably. I subscribed and will check out additional reviews on Autocar.

I love love love this car!! Clearly one of the best automobiles on the road today. I would take this over bmw, mercedes, audi etc.... Its a Porsche and thats all that needs to be said!! What a beautiful automobile this is, and i am going to get it one day!!!

I never knew about the GTS for 911 and Panamera. Thank you for teaching me something! And I thought the review was excellent.

Nice video, I really like Autocar. Just one question, wasn't Cayenne the first GTS model? I think there was Cayenne GTS, then Carrera GTS and now Panamera GTS. Am I wrong?

why people keep comparing this to a CL63 AMG. seriously, this car cost twice as much and it is in a complete different market. it is a extraordinary, completely new, luxury, spacious, sport car for four people, made by the best car company in the world, porsche delivered what they said they would. If you want comparison with C63 look at automobile magazine this month. The best 64K car: Audi rs5, m3, C63 or porsche boxter. guess which was the first and the last. PORSCHE = fantastic

I really liked this review! Been a fan of whenever Vicky gets a high-profile review. Think they might not have wanted to have her facing the Spanish sun in the end clip, though, you can tell it's awfully bright.

@adamlorenc Besides what I just wrote. It was clear she was talking about the 997 GTS and whether Panamera GTS will be able to be the same kind of a car within this model line as was the 997 Carrera GTS among 997 and still remain great GT car which normal Panamera is.

@ all who don`t like the panameras looks: I know that this is a matter of taste and thus not really worth discussing. The Panamera does what it needs to do and is, due to that, a good car. What I really wanted to say though was that Porsche is going to give it a facelift in the near future. They said that they will try to make it look less plumb and more like a sports car. They haven`t annauced a date yet, but I guess it`ll be next year...

I am a huge Porsche fan,none more than ths epic GT3RS,and i wonder if they could do a stripped out ,hardcore Panamera.Yes i know its a 4 door luxo cruiser ,but if they did a lightweight(lol) rwd panamera that would be awesomedon't you think?

I really think this is car for her, I mean in good way, she looked very... like GTS! And it's jaw dropping machine, beautifully specced this one, I won't changed it for new 991 or CGT!!!

It seems like most reviews feel the need to mention that the Panamera is a GT car that shouldn't be "at home" on a track...and then they all say that it's pretty darn good. How long will it take before reviewers stop saying they're "surprised" that a Panamera can be fun on a track?

I really hate the design of this car. Even when I saw the car in person I dislike the design. However, despite this I loved your review. You sounded like you knew what you were talking about and even handled the car with control and a little recklessness something I would do as well. So for that I thank you for making this good review and I hope to see you in autocar reviews in the future.

Dear god that turn-in at 1:00 seems to defy physics! I thought it was going to turn into a massive oversteer but it just kind of....went around the corner! Good review from an obviously skilled driver. Stupid comments like we see here are why children should not be allowed unsupervised access to computers.

They should have made this the sole N/A V8 version and turbo'd the V6 for the S line. Lighter, better fuel economy, flatter torque curve, etc...

Fantastic sports saloon in desperate need of an aesthetic makeover. Hopefully Porsche will magically do to it what it did to the Cayman - redesign an odd looking car into a beautiful on. Give it the body it deserves.

I like the car's engine sound. But really dislike the key on the left of the steering wheel. A car in this price range should offer key-less go with push-button start.

Just a technical note. 928 ended in 1995 and Cayenne started in 2002. That's 7 years. It just doesn't seem to be that big gap. GTS simply represents a lot bigger heritage (almost 50 years). And more than anything she talked about 997 GTS and living up to its standard. So why bring up Cayenne? GTS stands for the same thing now as it did almost 50 years ago. So I don't agree that Cayenne is the first and I think that agreeing with this statement shows lack of knowledge or disregard of history.

Having said that - short of a manual 'box RWD GTS, I wouldn't buy a Panamera. Jaguar XJ Supersports in dark red with the dark grey alloys for me... much more handsome, just as good to drive, sounds like a Welsh God of Thunder (it does have one under the bonnet...), 503bhp, and I'd be supporting British jobs as it is, other than its German gearbox, totally British. Also, the P4S is 84k, the GTS will be 90-100k, the Jag is 91k (94k for LWB) - the P isn't cheap enough for me to forgive that rump.

I already did my comments on this video and I found it nice especially because a woman did it, but then and immediately all the haters begin to response. Anyway, each of us will keep thinking the same way and I agree these discusions on the internet are usually a waste of time. I still don´t know why I got into it because I hardly comment on any videos.

What I would be concerned about is the ride. We could hear it thumping away. How many Panameras, realistically, will ever see a track? A car like this should have a more road-biased setup. I also doubt that the 4WD will ever be more than extra weight for 90% of Panameras. Let's have this upgraded engine in the base RWD Panamera with the standard road setup and the manual gearbox which seemingly no-one buys instead of that PDK rubbish...

@boostmecoupeup Roll cage = Roll bar just as gear head = petrol head, shes in the UK, and not all the words are the same. Who are you to judge someone's review of a car by how they dress and the way they speak ? The speed she speaks at is fine, and shes taking pauses because she is driving a car around a racetrack, very quickly and aggressively.

I'm not hating on women host or test drivers but I'm not feeling here in any of her reviews and I would have liked to have heard from one of the guys that have driven the previous car to have a proper comparison...

I think this car would be made better with a simple six-speed stick & a single rear-mounted LSD. But Porsche know their market of course and that just wouldn't be worth its trouble/engineering. (shame, that)
