I have been wanting to fulfill a bucket list dream. Modding out a BMW 2008 red Z4. I envisioned buying a Red 2008 with the idea of putting old style wire wheels, overhaul engine, wrap bonnet and boot black against the red, leather bonnet straps. Red and Black seat covers, Pop up Video screen. An homage to the beloved MGAs and Healeys of the 60s. I feel the 2007 and 2008 Zed4 will become collectibles. I thought it may make an interesting show with the Ninja. Brakes, suspension. Bring the Zed back to almost new mechanically. I think the wire wheels will make for a cool looking Zed. I am just about to turn 79. My driving days are getting close to over. So I thought it may be something you may find interesting as a mod-project of one of the best motors BMW ever made. I hope I am not being presumptuous by sending you this missive. Thank you Bill Eib, Philly, PA Have a wonderful summer.

The issue I had with the 911 Safari video wasn’t that you ruined a car with mods that as you said, was a pretty undesirable example. It wasn’t that you actually took it off road after you modified it. The part that rubbed me the wrong way was the delivery condition. If someone sent me pics of the car as it was that morning, then delivered it as you did, I’d have been pissed. Really should have called them to reschedule once it got damaged, and coulda made *some* effort to hose it off before delivery.
