Thanks, appreciate this video. I'll give this a try since I hear that same rattle in the rear passenger side too. It's probably because its a few years since you posted, but the Advance Auto StrongArm part 4287 is now a "Fanmats Ball State University Basketball Mat", but part c4287 might work even though the website says it doesn't fit our car. I'm trying the Stabilus brand from Pelican parts for $26 (Part #884302-INT) and hopefully the rattle goes away.

Update, one of the new updated struts has the same problem. The other is perfect.

Porsche now has an updated strut available that does not rattle.

was it a bad strut? did you replace with oem one? did it sound like washer hitting metal while going over bump?

+ahh01010 Yes. I replaced it with an updated OEM one. Eventually the new strut rattled too.

+Alex Ranarivelo really. I wonder if it is covered under warranty. I can only hear it when I go on uneven road and it sounds like two metal washers hitting each other somewhere

FOUND A CHEAP REPLACEMENT THAT WORKS WITHOUT RATTLES. From Advance Auto, brand is StrongArm, part number 4287, about $23

Hey i searched on ADvance auto, the 4287 does not fit the cayman (mine is 2015). can you confirm How do you take off the strut from the hatch? any help will be nice

​@@FatCatHash interesting. I believe I have the same problem. When I go over very uneven road or hit a hard bump, I hear the rattle. I will definitely have to check this out. Thx
