Nice mods, especially love the GT2 bucket seats! That's next of my wish list so I can use 6 point harness for the track. But they're priced out of my budget...

@@NSXavier997 I traded my 08 turbo for a 12 turbo s. I have the fabspeed xpipe, cold air intake, headers, ipd plenum and gt3 throttle and Cobb access port body for sale, if you know anyone that wants to buy them for their 997 turbo let me know before I list them on rennlist

Dammit You are making me rethink yellow for my Frankenstein 996 turbo / 997.2 turbo rear / 991.2 gt3 front end build LOL. Sounds crazy but coming along nicely. Just stupid amount of work.

@@70vikingable I have not verified a definitive way of testing it, but I would assume that if you monitor cam phase data on bank 1 and bank 2 under load/WOT, if one or both are lazy to advance, then it would indicate a sign of the oil passages being blocked by a spun camshaft sleeve. You can monitor the cam deviation angles at idle/dry rev and they both should match with each other ideally less than 1 degree of variance... this will show you whether your cam sprockets have slipped.

How do you like the feel of the Sachs clutch? I heard some people weren't huge fans of the feel compared to stock, and I'm considering moving to Sachs when my clutch is due...

I actually prefer the SACHS "stage 2.5" clutch over the factory clutch. The thing that makes the biggest difference is the GT2 slave cylinder. I absolutely hated the factory hydraulically assisted slave cylinder. The GT2 Slave Cylinder and the SACHS stage 2.5 clutch combo works very well together. It is significantly stiffer than stock, but hey... it's a sports car with some power. I got used to the new clutch pedal action after a few hours of driving around.

Nice wheels. I didn't think they came in proper fitment for a turbo. Are you using spacers?

The OG TE37’s were available in correct fitments for the widebody 997’s, but not any longer, as they have been phased out and the Saga’s and Ultra’s have taken their place. The OG’s are a pretty rare wheel to find, and the set in the video are indeed widebody correct with measurements at 19x8.5+51 and 19x11.5+45. These very closely mirror the factory forged turbo wheel fitments. There were even more rare sets made in “RS” fitment that offered a 12” rear. I am running spacers for a tiny bit of poke to make things a bit more flush. Final offsets with spacers end up being +44 front and +30 rear.

@@NSXavier997 that’s a shame they discontinued the sizing. Would have loved to do the same wheels in a bronze or possibly gold. Love the upgrades though and your skills as a mechanic/technician are really impressive.

Did you get the buckets from Suncoast? Do they just bolt on?

From what I understand, these GT2 Carbon Buckets are NLA. But I could be wrong. I found this BNIB set for sale privately on Rennlist. They were somewhat local to me so I went and picked them up. Factory 997 part, so yes, they bolt right in with no modifications needed.

@@NSXavier997 Suncoast has leather and cf buckets for 997s (sku GT2SEATS) for $12K for a set. I like the fact the seat back folds. Is it comfortable on long drives?

@@glennhuang4731 You can’t recline in them... but they’re not uncomfortable at all. Drove the car around all day yesterday mixed city/highway and it was not bad at all. Only thing that kind of sucks is getting in/out... mainly because it’s always in my mind to “protect the bolsters” LOL.
