Yes, you should gear it up! Looks like it handles quite well! Maybe you should get a 3D printer and maybe also a CNC Router so you can make quality parts a bit easier?

Hey Kev I recommend using Lucas Red n Tacky As Grease, Lucas Red "N" Tacky Grease is a smooth, tacky, red lithium complex grease fortified with rust and oxidation inhibitors. It has good water resistance and washout properties. It has excellent mechanical stability and storage life. It is able to withstand heavy loads for extended periods of time.

I think the car is quite light, maybe you shoud put a little bit more weight on it for more grip, that means it can go faster

You got me bk into this, built my first tamiya grasshopper when I was about ten, then it took me till I was twenty odd to get another, started watching your vids and got that ten year old tamiya df02 out of the attick and fixed it up, bought my first cheap nitro at christmas, and I've got an arrma typhon 3s arriving today😃

I think you should gear it up. It would be awesome to see. Also, I noticed that the splitter is scraping when you brake. Consider some thicker oil or maybe different springs. If you ever brake in some dirt or rough terrain, the splitter will catch and rip off. Or just throw the car into a massive crash. And you don't want that, especially when you are trying to slow down. I hope you consider this, it just might save the car. Anyway, good video Kev. And I like the glasses.

Definitely gear it up It looks a little too low to me to be a rally car so I think that you should mess around with the ride height to make it ride higher

That front splitter definitely saved the front !!! !!! Maybe put on sides and rear too. 👍😁 might help with air under car passing by.

Instead of the splitter, if you can, I think you should put a foam bumper on the front of the chassis so you could have more ground clearance and less of that scraping sound. There are a lot of on roads and rally cars that have those

Hey kev, when that battery settles a bit will it be good anymore? Or once it’s puffed it’s done? That’s something I was always curious about. For some reason my arrma cars always make batteries really HOT. Don’t seem to have that issue with the traxxas units. Think I need to up from 50c to 100c in those guys...

Even if u got the lowest priced slash 4x4 there are soooooo many upgrades out there. In my opinion its smarter to get the base model slash if u plan on upgrading it. That way you can do it your way...

I'm running a 21t pinion and 46t spur in my Hyper VS with a 2650kv motor on 4c. It's bloody fast. The VS is a very strong car, I haven't broken anything yet😜
