Dianna is deeply missed but us all...being a friend of hers, and having her teach me from start to finish in her studio how to make these beautiful dolls, those times with her will now live on in my heart forever....

I wish someone would have done a video that tells it this well, when I was trying my hand at it way back in the 1980s.

I was just on your website after seeing some of your dolls on eBay (modeling clothes, not dolls to buy there. Your creations are beautiful! I would so love to get one. One of your basics could have been modeled after my daughter.

I have between 300-600 of these castings in my garage. they are all ceramic, some dolls, some heads legs, body parts, then some are whole figurines, many shapes and sizes and quite a few very large ones. If someone would come get them .they can have all of them , for free just for me to get rid of them

Wait, so you sell the molds for these? Just face molds, or the whole doll (arms, legs, torso if it's all-porcelain). Would the molds work with "pressed" clays like Sculpey et al?

lquid clay in molds than baked in our daycentre we make them

  • @Gasp7000

These molds are not just standard plaster, they are made of stronger, denser plaster called hydrostone. If you put sculpy on them, it will seal up the pores, rendering it unusable for pouring porcelain because it would not draw the moisture out of the clay like it's supposed to. But yeah, if you only use it for sculpy, first powdering it with baby powder so the sculpy with release easily, you could use sculpy clay in the mold. But the doll will come out to a larger finished size than the sculpy one, because fired porcelain shrinks quite a bit from its raw greenware size.
