lang , lang ist es her. I am born in the beginning of the 1960ies. So I am raised up with much of the songs in your video. But in that times there was not so much other sources to knew music like today. In that times mainly radio and music in Disco und some in TV. Now spotify, you tube and... so much more. But I believe that generate much more different cultures of hearing music. In old times there was different genres and you know the places to hear. Besides german music much music came was originate from great britain, some french and USA. And after WW2 besides the very traditional german music and Schlager the german musicians sang in english. Was more cool for the youth and dont meant that the germans understand all of the text. ( or Schlager has an accent or totals language from the south of europe - most the holiday reagions like greek, italian or danish ) And I am western german- the east german music historiy is a little bit other) . Learned it after reunification a bit - another interesting story ( learned that there was before reunification more exchange than I believed). Modern music interpreted in german was new and come with the "Neue Deutsche Welle" in 1980/81. They had the courage to sing in german and had not the smell of beiing old fashion.

@@shahinreacts I wish you a happy new year too. I made belly dance at a hobby. First contact with the dance as i was 23 or so. Love the motion of the dance. Learned to love the music. Was in first very unkonwn for me as a german. Now I like the oriental music. The more classic and the modern one. Is a music I want to dance and to interpret it. With breaks I get trainies with other woman ( only few men dance in this style) since the last years. Now I am 60. And - I cant believe it, but since my first contact I dance this music. In time since 2 years I dance not in a trainy group. (have other things to do) but miss it. This dance is so emotional and speak to my soul. And besides there are so many styles. classic depend of the classic music or modern. And I know I know not much about . But know the last years was a part of my live. I like or love this dance in the much different existence (depend of the music and the origion and the modern interpretion) .

Many German (and artists from other counties) sing in English as that gives them more appeal to the international market where English is the standard language. And all but one of those were awful - and even that one (Scorpions) was not a true reflection of the band.
