Hi Dillon and Reebs ❤️💕 I’ll try to keep my comment as short as possible… I’m 53, married 34 years as of a week and a half ago, we raised up 4 littles, that aren’t so little now 😢😊 About 5 years ago, I was forced to retire young as I started needing to be hospitalized due to strange intestinal infections (it turned out to be ulcerative colitis, which my dad had as well) …. This put a hardship on our household financial wise, among other things as well! Well, fast foreword to this last March, a few short months ago… and my blood tests came back HORRIBLE!! I was shocked!! I thought I was doing better! You name the test, I failed it… it’s scary!! Even my A1C was terrible!! And I don’t even eat sugar!! At all!! My husband and I had been doing The Keto diet and avoiding carbs (that’s what I was told to do!!) in less than 1 year, it tanked my whole body!! My entire system was failing! Even my kidneys were struggling!! That lead me to The starch solution, reading Dr McDougalls book… and thus, I found your wonderful channel and community! In just 3 months, I’ve lost 19lbs!! Now I know that doesn’t seem like a lot yet… but at 53 and female and post menopausal… I will lose weight a lot slower than the average female…. But I’m not concerned about the weight as much as I am with how I feel!! I feel fantastic!! Everything is improved! And I’m happy to report, my blood work went back to normal in just 3 months!! So thank you for all your hard work! I’m very grateful ❤️💕🙏🏼 Sending Love from Oregon 🌲🌲❤️💕 Trina

I just went to see my Dr 4 days ago and mentioned I'm eating plant based, specifically the McDougall 50/50 plate. She said "oh no that's way too many carbs! You need to do keto and Intermittent fasting." My blood tests results are all within the normal range and I have so much energy! Why would anyone want to go from stuffing your face of yummy healthy goodness and being satisfied to literally starving your brain and body? 😂 I'll never change. This is the way for me and I'm so happy I've left the junk food vegan era 💜

I've got a NP who hassles me every visit about eating WFPB. She's threatened me that she'll cut my insulin off if I don't change my ways. I need it because I have a whole situation with digestive system not because I eat "wrong". Yes, I'm looking for a new NP. I am very lucky that I recently moved to the city where my son lives and he makes delicious things for me. He is my chef although he's a meat eater. My favorites are scrambled tofu with tons of veggies and veg banh mis. He does a fantastic chana masala with okra. I don't feel restricted at all.

The cost myth is the one that always gets me. Whats cheaper than rice and beans? $1 a lb or less. As apposed to even cheap meat and cheese which is maybe $3 lb. A big pineapple is $2 at Walmart and after skinning chopping it I can end up with 2-3 lbs. A little prep time saves money big time.

It costs me under €10 for around 5kg of cooked chickpeas. It’s been years since I bought chicken or turkey but I don’t think you can get 5kg of them for that price and they were always the cheaper meats (at least when I still ate them). And you wouldn’t really eat meat on it’s own, you’d have some sort of vegetables with it so you’re buying those anyway. Fair enough, if you live off vegan mock meats, you’re going to be spending a lot but if your main protein source is whole foods then it so much cheaper to eat this way.

Why do you think you have canines?? To eat meat. That's what your supposed to eat. You don't take in enough calories or protein. That'll hurt you in the future." My Response was... "How many ultra marathons have you ran in your lifetime? I have ran 3 in the past 2 years. Umm... he was totally silent. crickets. haha!! Then I went to sleep for the procedure. This isn't an interview channel so people probably aren't coming here for interviews. Chef AJ is totally an interview channel so people go there expecting interviews. Individual youtube channels aren't one stop shopping, they're boutiques of people doing what they do best.

It’s been 20 yrs my vegetarian friends nagged me to switch but i don’t like the taste of fake meat as they all taste weird to me. Since i omitted the animal stuff, i just realized that is all i need to remove🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣plus the oil & sugar. Geez, silly me🤣🤣🤣. Now it’s my turn to nag my vegetarian friends to give up their oil. When i was prescribed chinese mixed grain congee by my traditional chinese doctor, i thought he was out of his mind. Now in hindsight, i should’ve just listened to him and i might keep my tongue.

Dispelling the myths is only half of the task. The larger problem is dealing with the facts. The main fact is that the vast majority of Americans are too lazy to take on a healthy lifestyle. The points you make about this way of life being easy is correct, but it's not easy ENOUGH. There are industries centered around food delivery because not only are most Americans too lazy to MAKE food, they are too lazy to even go to the store and buy it. The other fact is that we are all victims of the boiled frog phenomena. The water keeps slowly getting hotter and since it's getting hotter slowly we don't even notice each single degree. We have become so used to the growing severity of unhealthiness that most people don't even realize how unhealthy their lifestyle is. Being healthy means giving up the "training" we have had since birth and taking on a completely new way of life. That's hard to do, and even when we try to do it, we often end up slowly drifting back to our old ways. It takes a lot of effort to stay on track and most people don't have the desire to do so. I have been in this lifestyle for years and still I find that I have to beware of the tendency to slip back into the "old way". Perhaps the next step in your business venture is to start a healthy foods delivery service where you can put together daily meal packages so that all people need to do is open a box and the food for the day is in there, ready to consume, without any preparation required. That all said, thank you both for being an inspiration! You help to keep me on track.

Yes I agree, but that is the whole point of our content, to make it really easy for people. This is what I preach all day long. I am not interested in converting people, I am just interested in making it easy for the people who actually want to stick to it forever like us. For the people who are ready to get healthy, I am here for them. For the people who have no idea, well they are going to have to figure that out for themselves and I will be here for them when they are ready to get started.

The base minimum for proteins is 200 on the bloodwork that I got I was 212 the only thing I implemented because I do have a problem with protein apparently is vegan protein shakes! So if you got a problem with protein and you’re not eating enough protein, like me, I do love my beans, but I do not like tofu or any Chyna tofu product. I don’t eat the Fake meats with the exception of MorningStar chicken patties and that’s about it, but I do eat a lot of beans and I eat potatoes and things of that nature but I was still on my protein then you might wanna get a vegan protein shake that helps get boost your protein up and it’s good for you.
