Joy Kelley I’ve got some and I’m water propagating some cuttings! They are lovely and totally a dream to watch grow! I’ve got the variegated and the normal types. I do find the variegated ones grow at about half the rate of the normal ones but absolutely worth it! I didn’t realise they were such a popular plant, I saw some pics online and fell head over heels lol
I'm a horticulturalist, and garden designer from England. I've never really followed plant youtubers before, as I have varied interests outside of plants, and sometimes it feels a little too much like work - but I accidentally came across your page, and I have to say I find it very entertaining and therapeutic to watch. I find what you have to say and your point of view very interesting, and it's always nice to see the different challenges and surprising similarities on your side of the pond.
If you're not excited about your plants, then they are NOT your favorites. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 periodt --thanks for putting up another honest and informative list.
I like your taste in houseplants. I think I want all of them. I’m just starting over after losing my previous life in an eviction. I was a regular at The Indoor Gardening Society of New York. And going to Philadelphia for the Flower Show was a yearly ritual I just had to have. I realized today how unhappy the news was making me feel. And I thought about what things make me happy. I think those are things I should put my energy into. Houseplant videos make me happy. This video was particularly satisfying. Thank you for showing me these plants. I’m going to put them on my wish list. Stay safe.

I think turtles on a string aka peperomia prostrata, monstera adansonii, and rhaphidophora tetrasperma are all completely deserving of the hype! They are just so beautiful, especially the turtles! I also think philodendron pink princess, calathea white fusion, and stromanthe triostar completely deserve all the love they get! I think the most underrated plants are calathea warscewiczii and peperomia obtusifolia, their leaves are unreal, I look at and touch them and can't believe how perfect they are.

I love calthea jungle velvet, despite how dramatic they can be, they still grow. Well for me.
I absolutely agree Syngonium is an underrated plant. It can trail, climb, and being bushy. It comes in a variety of patterns and goes from light green to dark form, striped, splash, confetti, etc. and it is easy even in an apartment without much light ;) Thank you Nick Pileggi for your wonderful plant videos
What I like is that your plants are so different. A lot of people have a big collection of the same plants (philodendron, hoya,...). and all those plant look rather the same and that makes it a bit boring to look at. Your collection is everything but boring because of the variety of species.

Was at Walmart 1 day, when the Easter plants were first coming out. I found a rather large Calathea Musica in a ceramic pot for $14.99. I couldn't believe my eyes. The pattern on the leaves in mesmerizing
Monstera Peru is one of my favorites, purchased it in the fall and it's still a favorite!

Started my morning with you and am happy I did! I love the variety you have and am stoked to hear your knowledge. Thank you!!!
I love how excited you got about your variegated syngoneum's growth. I'm a new plant mom and am just as pumped when I see that my care is actually making my babes grow instead of killing them! Lots to learn, but it's fun. Thanks for your vid :)
I got a string of hearts plant last year in august and I am absolutely in love - she is my favourite plant baby next to my spiderplant (more love for spiderplants please hahaha). Mine isn't pink, but that's okay because I like the slight purple tint of the undersides of the leaves a lot more. She is growing super fast, and I already propagated a small amount of cuttings. Can't wait to see her thrive and grow over the years :) ♥
Ah, that Hoya - I have the same one. Watch out - I believe it’s the healthiest, most robust Hoya I’ve ever owned. I grew it from a single cutting someone sent me in the mail into a true monster. I have to repot it every 2 or 3 years, the roots just start bursting through the hanging pot, and the plant becomes so heavy it actually breaks the hangers. I don’t give a dang what kind of plants social media says I should like, but the rosary vine is up there at the top with my favorites. The one I have is one of my oldest plants, they really are easy to care for and will tolerate tons of neglect. I have had others over the years that didn’t make it, I think they were overwatered at the places I bought them from, and already on that slippery slope to death when I brought them home. I don’t remember them ever being expensive, though. Guess when they got popular with Instagram, that drove prices up. My tip for plant care: more plants die of overwatering than under watering. Stick you fingers into the soil...if it feels dry an inch down, then water. If you feel any moisture at all, leave it alone, check back in a day or two. The key is to check frequently, so that the plant doesn’t sit dry for a long time, and get to know your plants, so you will be able to tell if they need water just by the look of the plant or the weight of the pot.
So helpful, thanks! Also, you low-key look like Ewan McGreggor
I was staring at the calathea orbifolia beside you. I love the challenge of calathea and mine is full and beautiful like yours! I have many calathea and they keep me busy. Thanks for sharing
I am so excited to have found your channel! I have been doing a lot of gardening outdoors, but you have totally inspired me to expand my indoor plant game.
So glad to chat about my favourite topic, Nick. You're doing such a good job. I need this to help me do my caring job. Thank you xxx
Thanks Nick!! Love your plants. I'm in Australia and grew up in a tropical state where everything was pretty much green and I never had indoor plants, then I moved to follow a Horticulture job in another state at Botanic Garden. It does however get snow and I've found myself collecting indoor plants because I miss the green soooo much. Love your channel btw.
I love the way you talk about plants - this mix of enthusiasm and humour💚💚💚
honestly I think the monstera deliciosa is worth the hype, even the leaves without the fenestration! my coworker gave me a cutting and after like 3 weeks of nothing, roots exploded out of it, and I eventually planted it with no issues at all! I've had it for like 2-3 months or so, and it's already grown two new leaves, both lightly fenestrated!! It's one of my favorite plants in the house, and I have a golden pothos that grows so rapidly I've already gotten 3 huge planters full of new plants out of it, and a few more propagating in jars! I just love how sturdy it is, how fast it grows, and right now my fenestrations are only on the two new leaves, and only on the right side of those leaves, so it looks a little wonky which makes me happy(:
I have learned about sooooo many new plants thanks to you!!! That Moonlight is to die for. And the SOH is in such high demand it's CRAZY!
Hi Nick-- thank you so much for posting right now. You're content really brightens my day!
I love the Hindu Ropes. They grow so slowly tho... I’m finally starting to see growth after an entire growing season! They are so interesting and beautiful though!
Uhh that string of hearts is just stunning! I’m happy to hear the price is decreasing 🥰
Well thanks for adding some light to a rather dull week...take care and wash your hands a lot because the world would be dull without you🥰😜🤗
Beautiful plants! I have the scindapsus Moonlight! I’m hoping it grows like yours!!! GORGEOUS!! ❤️😍🌱
So happy to find your channel! I love how quick and clear you explain things!
I find your obvious knowledge and passion about your plants extremely extra endearing.
I love variegated and pink plants myself. It's so awesome there is a plant to please every preference!
I 100% agree on the variagted plants "sometimes they just look a bit sick". I think they only look good when the variegation looks intentional, like the stripy patterned ine you showed. Rather than patchy or whole leaf variegation just looks like a disease or drying up leaves.
Those are such gorgeous plants! Thanks so much for sharing them and also bringing a smile to my face. I really needed it 😃
“I got GOT by this plant...” I watched this like 4 times. So relatable.
I Love waking up to these beautiful plant videos thank you!!
I love your passion for plants! Sweet video

I love my fiddle leaf fig! I found it at a box store for $20 a few months back & I’m absolutely in love. 😍
I LOVE my Calatheas! I have 4 and am gonna keep growing my collection. Musaica is my favorite. 🥰
Thank you for the suggestions and care tips🌿
Love Philodendrons, but I really am looking to get that Syngonium Podophyllum "Albo variegatum" I love the variegation the leaves have and I have a lot of Syngonium. I really love the Calathea, one of my wish list plants, the pattern in the leaves is what made me fall in love with it. Thanks so much Nick for this video I really enjoyed it and look forward to your next one. Stay safe and healthy, sending love and hugs, bye for now.
Thanks for your video! Very enjoyable. You are so personable and knowledgeable.
Dude that thumbnail is unreal, incredible lighting. Great video! Keep them up!
I'm so happy I've found your channel. Really enjoying your content
Your video's are making my day 😊 I always learn so much from you. Thank you
Thanks for your input!!! Love your videos!
*Le Sigh* ... the obovata... such goals!! Happy Friday, Nick - from Cali!
Ahh loved this vid. Your reaction to monstera peru had me laughing.
Hi Nick! Those are all really beautiful plants! I don't have any of them, but especially love the Syngonium podophyllum "Albo Variegatum" and Calathea musaica. It's nice to know the Calathea musaica is easier to grow as I've shied away from all the plants in the Maranta family. I love seeing your joy when you talk about plants. I recently purchased an 8" Cebu Blue and Marble Queen Pothos at our Walmart for only $16.97 each. I was thrilled since they were both on my wish list. Thank you so much for sharing!
You have a great plant collection.Wishing you a happy Easter.
Very beautiful collection and choice you have. I wish they are available in nurseries here. Thanks for sharing these wonderful plants with us
I inherited a giant Boston fern from an aunt who needed to find a home for it since summer was over and where she lives gets cold 🥶.Dad and grama went to visit her and the family and brought back some of the need a home plants. Including a sedum a vinca come and a variegated spider plant ❤.
Your channel is so relatable. I just watched your video on plants you don't like and I couldn't agree more. I feel the same way about this video. I have all, but two of the plants in this video and im in love with them. The only one that I would add is the amydrium medium green form. I just got a cutting and it is just as beautiful as the pictures.
i got a monstera minima in the fall and it’s only grown on me since! it’s so pretty and so easy to propagate with the aerial roots, and it’s not so huge like the others of its kind. so gorgeous and very easy to take care of.

keons I JUST got a minima and I was wondering if you’d share a little of your experience with it so I know what to expect and how to help it?
Your videos are always so informative
I would absolutely LOVE to have a Gloriosum in my collection :)
Not really the scindapsus type usually but the moonlight definitely found a way to my heart what a beautiful velvety glowing blue-grey plant 💙🤍
Love the ceropegia woodii variegata , thank you for the video)🤩
Ugh. So far I can’t find the first three plants you’ve mentioned anywhere! Apparently they ARE popular 😂... I reallllllyyyy need that albo syngonium!!!😍
Ooof yeah if there are some that would live up to the hype it'd have to be these guys. So colorful and patterned and amazing. That moonlight scindapsis and the string of hearts are gorgeous
Great video Nick! When this virus is over I am going to get a string of hearts they are so beautiful.
Peace lilies!! So hyped but honestly worth it!! I love mine!
I love of your plants!!! Thank you for the info!!
Thank you for this video. I am new to houseplants and this info is hugely helpful to me as I navigate the hype.
I love my Monstera Siltepecana it’s growing So fast and I’ve only had it a month , many great variations tfs ✌️🌱
I really like rubber plants and peperomia! I am waiting for my tieneke in the mail today. And also I have calethea musaica and the variegated string of hearts coming soon. I can't wait for them to arrive. Thanks for your enthusiasm! I am finding I'm totally about the look of plants rather than their "rarity." I'd rather have a beautiful and full common plant than two leaves of a rare plant, I think. 😄
Again, excellent video. I just received a notice from Pistils that my Hoya Obavata (sp) and two pots are arriving today. Can’t wait. Keep up the great videos and stay safe and healthy!

Jean Gaissert my obovata from pistils shipped yesterday 💚
Great care tip: Let it dry out ENOUGH but not TOO MUCH :D. Sorry, I just found you and I love how you talk about plants and show them and I'm totally subscribed now! PS: TODAY I received my Monstera sp. Peru (in the Netherlands also called 'pinnatum') in the mail, 3 leaves and they are so cool!
That Peru.. I bought a plant labeled Epipremnum pinnatum a while back, and I swear it looks exactly like that Peru. so weird!! Thanks for the video!
Totally agree about the Peru ! They are beautiful 🌱😍
It's funny that the Peru was on your list. I just found one at Walmart myself for $16.98 and felt so privileged to get it. It was the only one there and had a tag which was wrong calling it a Raindrop Peperomia but on the sticker on the pot it said Peru with another Costa Farms label stuck in the dirt that said Trending Tropicals rare plants. I knew what it was and it's the first time ever a Walmart plant made me smile. I gave my daughter a small cutting to root and where I clipped it is already growing back. Now looking for the varigated version of course.
Great picks. I own most of those plants and I totally agree that they are wonderful and interesting.
Your Scindapsus Trubia is amazing 😍
I’m obsessed with the Fabian aralia. I’ve got one and I come say hi to her at least a couple times a day 💕💕
Love all your plants. Stay safe.
Hi Nick. Can you make a video and talk about the best soil mixes for different kinds of plants?
Wow ....Awesome collection.loved it.
Up to a month and a half ago my 2 year old calathea musaica was dying, the leaves were curling in on itself and the stems were drooping, but then I repotted it and my dad came over and cut off the dead leaves, and lo and behold now it's it's growing 14 new leaves and makes me weep with joy every time I look at it. I think I also have this monstera you showed last, but I had no idea that it was of that family, I thought it was a creeper of sorts.
Hi ! Scindapsus treubii Moonlight is definitely on the top of my list for about a year. Very hard to get my hand on it here in France, not hyped enough I gess ^^ I'd love to get the Syngonium Podophyllum Albo Variegata too, and it's quite rare here as well. I totally agree with you for the C. Musaica "Network", i love mine, it's so easy and rewarding. I love my variegated chain of hearts. It's pale pink, I'll follow your advice and put it closer to the window to get a more vibrant color. See you soon !
I love your plants woodii variegata.. Very nice and love to collect it..
That second last one is a total stunner
oh gee I love all the plants u show what a nice video !
Holy crap I need a big ass treubii like that! It’s so beautiful. Mine is only 2 leaves lol. Wow love the variegated syngonium too!
I just want to walk through your house jungle. You have a fantastic collection with great variety.
Love your videos!
The philodendron verrucosum, love it.
I think i have a similar plant taste as you! I have a scindapsus treubii moonlight and i absolutely love it. I bought it without even knowing what it is called because I just loved how beautiful the leaves are. I also have a syngonium podophyllum pink.
i almost bought a calathea musaica but i was too scared because calathea and i do not get along haha but now i'm thinking that i should have!!!!! what a stunning plant!!!
I want them all and the only one I have on this list is the string of hearts 💕! I can not justify buying expensive plants during a pandemic 😩. I’ll have to wait!
You give good information. Thank you
Just got our own Obovata yesterday. My wife calls it her "drunken" purchase, even though she does not drink. Just something she bought randomly at like 2 am in the morning.
I #LUV you. Hilarious! 😅🤣😂 "variegated this, and pink that ..."
Raphidaphora Tetrasperma!! I love that pant!🌱
Nick you were so right about the s. treubii moonlight. Can't find that anywhere now. Sadness.
Hey, Nick! Great video, as always. I was wondering if you could do a video on how to pot the gloriosum up, I got a cutting but it was stuck straight down in the medium and partially rotted. I couldn’t find a lot of info online about how to properly pot it up. If you could help, that would be greatly appreciated ♥️
I love those plants that you talked about 💚
Totally in love with my monstera peru.
