Poppy Tackles The Giants Causeway
We visit the famous Giants Causeway, near Bushmills. Poppy finds some volcanic steps!
"The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic fissure eruption. It is located in County Antrim on the north coast of Northern Ireland, about three miles (5 km) northeast of the town of Bushmills. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 and a national nature reserve in 1987 by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, the Giant's Causeway was named the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom."

Great video. We visited the causeway from the Ballyness caravan park a few years back. We took the bus from the campsite so we didn't have to move the van. The locals informed us that there is no charge to visit and walk to the causeway, only the visitor centre. You simply need to walk through the tunnel or take the path over the roof of the visitor centre.

You were right Bob... You can learn a lot about the place that way.
That looked a fantastic time, Poppy in her element!
Glad you enjoyed the Causeway, you can walk for miles on both sides of the Causeway along the cliff paths. Torin ( which means Chieftain in Irish ) our Irish Wolfhound regards the Causeway as his second home . We are sorry that we missed you as he normally walks there early in the morning. Poppy did really well .

Wow, Bob, jenny & poppy, that was such an amazing place. Ireland is just full of interesting places to visit. I was going to go there, I thought it was a bridge, but seeing your vlog, I was obviously mistaken. I should of looked it up, silly me. I'm glad you didn't fall on those rocks Bob, as they looked quite dangerous. I don't mind watching you both shopping, I might get some tips from jenny. Thank you both for letting me slouch on the settee while you do all the hard work, only joking. Take care, lots of love. Linda xx❤

Great video, went there on a trip to the NW200 in 2017 and walked both ways in our biking gear. Definitely somewhere to visit and see the natural beauty of the place. Glad you’re doing Bushmill as well as I’m still getting through my bottle of Black Bush that I bought. Go to the Joey Dunlop memorial gardens as well - Mike
We’re just back from Staffa which is a similar structure but the columns are huge. Would highly recommend it

Yes, Jenny used it. It's a change we didn't think they needed to make and it looks like it was designed for something else, like foreign holidays!
None National Trust members can visit the Giants Causeway for FREE. You just pay for parking. The National Trust makes most VISITORS believe that there is an entrance fee. That is NOT so. As mentioned you only pay for parking. You also pay for the bus journey down to the Causeway and ENTRANCE TO THE SHOP. There are several other privately owned ON LAND parking lots much cheaper. The National Trust are " RIPPING OFF THE GENERAL PUBLIC and TOURISTS" VISITING "THE GIANTS CAUSEWAY IS FREE TO EVERYONE". PARK YOUR CAR IN THE NT CAR PARK OR PREFERABLY A PRIVATE ON LAND ONES. THE JUST WALK THROUGH THE ARCH AND DOWN TO THE CAUSEWAY. Oh! and by the way YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY TO USE THE TOILETS. NT ADVISER WILL INFORM YOU TO GO THROUGH THE SHOP, WHICH YOU PAY FOR.. THE TOILET/WC/BATHROOMS ARE TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE SHOP, AND FREE. Did! you both visit White Park Bay, just a few miles down the road heading towards Ballycastle? Hope you both enjoyed the travelling. Some beautiful scenery heading south towards Carrickfergus Castle and Belfast. Had you stayed on the coast road upon leaving the ferry terminal it would have taken you past Bally Gawley, Drains Bay, Carnlough, Glenariff, Cushendall, Cushendun, Ballycastle, Carrick-A-REED, White Park Bay, Bushmills which would have also take you the Curran park. Stay Safe, Regards Tom ( Co Antrim )
