The camera very slowly gets closer to her, the lights become warmer and warmer in color making her look warmer in color and near the end there's a fire effect- many people who survive drowning say it feels like the water burns their lungs- or maybe it has something to do with death/hell, at the very there's glitchy light, at some point it's words and I can't tell exactly what it says but there is the triangle with the p and it may be similar to how when your brain isn't getting enough oxygen or just in general before you pass out your vision gets splotchy tunnel vision or it could be less literal and saying something i'm not sure. The blue is probably lack of oxygen as people's skin turns bluish-purple as they asphyxiate. I don't know why the yellow eyes, it could be because dead people often get yellow skin and eyes like jaundice or it could be something else not sure on that one. Along with the 4 minutes which is how long it takes to drown and going off key as you said that's everything I noticed.

I think that this song isn't just about choke, but ALL the things that's happening with you that other people don't believe

Choke is minimalistic but powerful usage of dark and light within a Futurist style of setting makes for a profound MV more than just expressing the lyrics. I also like how she subtly incorporates her brand of enigmatic facial expressions and effect to add layers to the song & ominous feel, also the fact she's wearing reflective latex/PVC like outfit only amplifies the vitality and grace of her overall style; really makes one want to create, design and wear. She really knows how to evoke various emotions to the viewer both aurally and visually. Never stop being yourself and keep up the Stellar work!

Such an interesting artist, I’m obsessed

This is absolutely genius. The visuals, the lyrics, the meaning, the amount of time the video is, everything. Though it’s Poppy, and everything she does is genius. If you really think about it though, this song is really dark. Also, one a lighter note, every time I listen to this it makes me think if that one time I choked on the cinnamon from an Auntie Anne’s pretzel and literally needed to force myself to talk, it felt like I had a jammed push to talk button. All I got out was “help” and somehow managed to fix my breathing by myself. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
