POP-UP Coffee Shops in the Philippines! | KOMBI BREW and UGLY MUG CAFE | DexLani
This coffee bar on a 1973 vintage Type 2 Volkswagen Kombi Bus has been spotted on many Pop-ups & Cafe collaborations in Mandaluyong & nearby areas and has graced quite a number of special events such as Weddings. Aside from the irresistible appeal of the vintage bus, what pulls crowd to this coffee bar are the unique brews it serves. One is an espresso-based beverage mixed with special chocolate & a hint of orange called Dark Kahel and Kombi Blue which is tea-based and delightfully blue!
Ugly Mug Cafe, serves Korean-inspired pastries called Croffles (Croissant-waffle)! Buttery & flaky croissants are cooked on waffle irons and either drizzled with sweet sauces or topped with fresh fruits. Beware these Croffles are highly addictive! They also have a "road-side" or a "drive-by" store with a modern sari-sari store vibe. They also serve freshly brewed coffee!

Suggestions -- your vans should display POSTERS showing the various selections ( names, photos and prices). Then your customers know what's available -- and what they look like. Mention also available add-ons like Splenda, and non-dairy items. And don't forget to keep your surroundings spotless ( no cigarette butts, napkins, toothpicks, straws etc.) Good luck, you guys!
I will go to Greenfield, Mandaluyong -- just to buy your coffee and shake your hand (OK, bump elbows na lang). I owned a Beetle for 39 years. I was forced to sell it, because my arthritis could no longer do the stick shift.
