The same applies to the loss of a beloved cat too. My cat Edgar was 14 when I had to have him put to sleep (after being attacked by a dog) when I rang my husband and told him Edgar was dead, he said "I will get you a kitten tomorrow". I threw my phone at a wall and smashed it. I think it was many weeks before I talked to him, did his washing or cooked for him. I could not believe he was so heartless, and did not love Edgar like I did.

You are as insensitive as they come towards people and animals(dogs), and terribly uneducated as far as what the Word of God says. What a great name for a dog, my dog was called Zero. He was a Staffe and died a the age of 16.

God bless Walnut, my heart goes out to you Mark & family, I had to do the same thing to our beloved Border terrier Max, in July, under the same circumstances of putting off the enevitable , after 17 yrs & 7 months,the house is now so empty. Listening in the van yesterday brought a tear to my eye.Very best wishes, you did the rightful thing !

My staffy is getting old too, he's starting to fall over a lot when I walk him and he walks very slow now 😥 I don't know what I will do without him - he's all I have. I feel for the owner and hope he's doing ok. Good bye Walnut x

Absolutely hit me right in the heart this, having to say goodbye to a loved one, animals aren't pets, they're part of the family and the reason why videos like this get me so much is because it's so amazing to see an animal loved so much, given the send off that they all should instead of being treated in some horrific ways. Unfortunately a lot of the horrid comments are only written for a reaction. My heart goes out to Mark. I have never had the fortune to have a dog for that long and it must have been such a hard decision for him. I think it's amazing that the public reaction was so huge. Must be very touching for Mark.
