There's an ANSWER to FLASH FLOOD, since this is at the base, the waters can be TREATED, STORED in a MASSIVE POOL SIZE WATER STORAGE, that can HOLD water and prevent DOWNPOUR, either installed at the TOP of the BUILDING or UNDER.******IMPORTANT******This is NON AI Standards of Excellence for Communication, Safety and security, flood prevention management and control.********

I have lived in North Cornwall since 1972 and have to say that this man has proved to be the worst MP this constituency has ever had! I am please that just after hearing the result of the General Election in 2024, that he has finally been booted out

You can notice the sting by the little mark, or perhaps the intense "kill me now" pain emanating from the location of the sting.

Trilisk outstandingly not outstanding. We want evidence based proof of what outstanding could possibly mean. Rhetorical flourishes about outstanding across the whole SW NHS is propaganda.

Well...look what's happened to BBC local radio over successive budget cuts since. Sacked most of the staffers and broadcasting truly "local" content about 25% of the day.

I think I was one of the people rescued that day. The Riptide was on both beaches at the same time. It took me a long way out to sea and across away from the flags very quickly. I had only been stood up to my ankles deep waiting for a wave to come in. I had only just bought the body board up on the cliff top shop 10 minutes earlier. By the time I got rescued I couldn't even see the cliffs because the water was swelling in front of me quite high above my head and was splashing over my head from behind and splashing into my mouth. I had seen several people struggle to get back into shore. I noticed 5 swimmers, swimming in in a very straight line next to each other. I shouted to them to help me. One of them shouted, we are struggling to get back in ourselves. My heart sank. I thought that they might be my last hope of getting seen. After a minute or so One of the swimmers went to turn towards me, I thought he must have felt back about leaving me behind, but I realised that I couldn't be seen and if he was struggling (and they looked like strong swimmers) and non of us could be seen then non of us would get any help. So I shouted not to come back to me but to get me help when he got out. Well I think he did that because I did see a glimpse of a boat not too long after that. I did have a moment where I thought this is it for me though. Weird how calm I felt, or maybe it was shock? The boat couldn't get to me at first because the water was too rough, they said they would have to go to the back of me and come in on a wave, the boat almost hit me so I grabbed the rope and it was a struggle but they got me in, I was totally worn out by then. One thing that Actually saved my live to that point is that I had the rope off the Body Boart wrapped around my wrist and used it as a float. Without that I couldn't have stayed above water that long. I think in this film it shows the life guards nearest to the town, I got rescued by the Lifeguards further up on the Beach at the bottom of the Cliffs of Perrin Sands holiday park - there were between 48 and 52 of us rescued that day between the two beaches. I had a thought today that the Man who went to turn towards me never got a thank you from me, I am pretty sure its him who got me the help from the RNLI based on the beach. They were busy though, they had to chuck me out at "ankle deep". to go rescue someone else. So, my realisation is that that Man would never have known if I was rescued or not that's why I came looking for footage of the event. There is one quick video we found years ago that was used on TV and my Kids were convinced you could see be being swept out to sea. When I got dropped off there were loads of people still playing in the water completely unaware of what was happening. Very surreal situation. I had to sit in the water because my legs were like jelly and I was sobbing and shaking and not one person asked if I was alright. As I got myself together and took up, my Husband came over. He said I've been looking for you to give the kids a go of the board. I told him I had just been rescued and he wouldn't believe me. Because everyone else was acting as if nothing had happened - I wonder where the other 47 -51 people are?

Butcher Hawke closed down now mate. He was up mine banging on my front door few weeks ago. edit: Mr Mitten was headteacher when I went Roche school, early/mid 90's that was I think. That charity shop is there because of my Gran and Grandad. Also, their bungalow was there at the end. Maybe she was still alive when this video was taken. Jethro is sadly missed.
