If you listen closely after " my baby" (where Elvis laughs) you can hear a different voice singing the next line... its close but not close enough..unfortunately we will never know how this song would have worked out simple twists that Elvis would have added a note higher/ lower that he'd have thrown in there...we'll never know but that's the best rendition I've heard so far x

The things bout this AI, it is technically splice and sampled from Elvis himself from various samples and modified so it's elvis real voice just applied differently. Now Elvis didin't record the song fully so its not a live elvis recording, but elvis did intend to record this but didn't get to. with AI is can go the same way stripping Elvis' vocals and adding a different backtrack (remixes, the duets) i see it as the same way. As an elvis fan, i approve this as semi official because its real samples of Elvis voice. another thing with AI, autotune is also AI as it bends an artist's vocal range thats not natural to the artist, this has been done many times and it now accepted as official for releases. i can see using AI to "clean up" or "fixing" an artist's recording. With Poor Man's Gold, it does sound like his 1969 American Studios recordings, like Hey Jude, Long Black Limousine, Any Day Now, My Little Friend, And The Grass Won't Pay No Mind, these are the same vocal and style range as Poor Man's Gold. in fact, listen to "I'll Be There", its quite similar what they try to with Poor Man's Gold.

Thanks for this video Michelle. I got quite emotional hearing it, as it so close, and just hearing it finished after all these years was emotional. At the same time, I do worry about what might be done with AI in the future. So, I’m not too sure about it all. I did really enjoy hearing the completed song though. I do remember a lot of resistance to remixes of Elvis tracks when that first started,then we went on to have a number 1 with ‘little less conversation’ and remixes are more accepted. It’s a really difficult one, because I think so much is possible with AI and that is worrying, in terms of protecting Elvis’ legacy.

I completely agree with you. I've been listening to Elvis for 50 years and I hate any imitators and mixes. Elvis was unique and his more than 700 recorded songs should be enough for anyone who really loves Elvis.

Done like Elvis inposters personality posing as him on record, some sound very like his voice as my wife said did you hear Elvis version of old rugged cross but then realised it wasn't recorded by elvis, don't get me wrong I enjoy good Elvis impersonators on live stage like Ben Portsmouth he is brilliant and really gives the elution that u are seeing Elvis live and getting an idea what he was like, that I like.

I've been listening to Elvis for many decades now. I KNEW Elvis did not sing more than the first line of this song and it would have fooled me if RCA/BMG/Sony told me they found a complete take. AI is a scary thing, especially if it isn't understood. But the way it is used in this way seems all right to me. They are taking Elvis' actual voice and manipulating it to create a "complete" song. In the not too distant future we'll be able to hear anyone sing anything. Can you imagine Elvis singing "Who let the dogs out"? No . . . me either. BTW - this song was written by Mac Davis and he does sing the complete thing on his album "Stop and smell the roses."

I’m torn on this one but have to say really impressed with what a great job they’ve done. We’ve all been pondering for years over which songs we wish Elvis had sung or songs that came out after he passed that he would have done a phenomenal job on…..perhaps now through AI that might happen. Production values would have to be 100%+ and it would need to be made VERY clear that it is AI and not an original Elvis recording

AI may be able to manipulate existing material but I doubt it can be as creative as Elvis would have been. So 'AI Elvis' may be poor man's gold in reality.

To be honest, i really like it. It's not messing with Elvis's legacy at all.

If anybody else would have created this AI version of this song, I would not have appreciated it. I probably would be appalled, but I watch EAP Society. They have been Elvis fans since they were born. Their parents were massive Elvis fans. They can pull out a box set and talk about every track without even looking at the playlist. They are Elvis music completists. They are Elvis historians. They created as a fan for fans. That is what makes the difference for me.

I think it's harmless, very good and most of all lovingly made...my concern are the possibilities of global political influences through A.I. Technology; that really scares me (and not a cool sounding A.I. Elvis Singin' Voice 😉) Thank You Michelle😘

There's a real debate into the ethics of using AI in all aspects if life, certainly music is an interesting one. Younger generations grow up with what they know, as we did once. Glad to have grown up with the pure Elvis sound, all aspects. Can't speak for younger generations I'm afraid! ❤❤xxx

This is right from the 1984 dystopia playbook. It's just as fake as plastic dolls and s*x and "love" robots. There's no life in it; it's a simulation of reality. There's also no sense of love and justice in it, no real rhythmic drive, the essential drivers of traditional musical art. Experienced listeners won't get into this trap, even if they don't know whether Elvis ever did this song or not, but our inexperienced kids could, and may even start rejecting the real thing with all its sweet imperfections, like many seem to prefer anime "cuteness" to real-life people's movies… While this may technically be an interesting field for some to explore (and to make lots of money off at the expense of true human talent!), spiritually, it is a scary development! I’m not sure how I feel about it. If I was turning dials on a radio and this came on, I don’t think I would think it was Elvis. I have such a keen ear to his voice, sounds and inflections. Even his whoa, whoa whoas I can always pick out on tribute artists it’s not him. I agree with you it could be the way of the future and it’s a bit scary. I’m a bit of a purist with Elvis, I did like the movie but would get upset when they didn’t use Elvis’s voice. Only time will tell I guess. Elvis is so distinct such a unique voice unlike any other, I’m not sure it could work. Perhaps on another artist it might, but as time goes by and technology gets better, it may get to be harder to determine who’s singing for sure. Thanks Michelle. Hi Michelle, It's really disturbing and we don't know where all this may lead us, but one thing is certain, Elvis continues to innovate once again, 46 years after his death. I like your channel!

Ive thougt long and hard about this and my conclusion is as follows. As Elvis himself only ever sang one line of the song, weve simply no idea as to how he would have sang and delivered HIS finished version, therefore theres nothing to make a comparison against. We all know that Elvis had his own ideas and thoughts as to how the he wanted the finished versions of HIS recordings to sound. AI nor any other form of musical or techincal intervention could have read his mind either back.in 1969 or now, and so for that reason alone id prefer to keep the mystique and mystery of this particular song hidden. As for the song itself the lyrics themselves are a testament to the narrative, and as always Elvis being the MASTER of lyrical interpretation would have conveyed them.straight to the listeners heart, full.of passion compassion and gutwrenching emotion, in HIS way. I have mixed feelings, but i do love hearing these AI songs! I imagine Elvis singing it and it brings me joy! On the other hand ive heard some AI songs of Elvis that as a fan i can really tell its not him and new fans might think its really Elvis and its not that good! The technology from what Ive heard is not yet perfected!

OMG!! It’s not too bad at all.. I was fearing the worse but it kind of gives us an idea of what the completed song may have sounded like! If RCA / BMG had released this version a while ago and claimed it was newly found the majority of the Elvis world would have fallen for it. The Beatles have an AI song coming out this year.. I’ll be interested to hear that also x

As a perfectionist Elvis fan from 1957 and watched and listened to Elvis all these years this could be pretty close to the mimic technology working, but to me it’s not Elvis….the tone is not quite right, but better than all these impersonators I have heard to date. If and when this reaches perfection, it would be a positive thing to be able to hear the true Elvis sound in any song that was released as Elvis, but I can understand the fear in this sort of thing. But if perfected for any deceased singer as a fan it could work.🤔🙏👌😎

I enjoy Elvis AI. I have multiple versions of all 700 + Elvis songs. Nice to hear songs that he might have recorded if he was still with us today.

In this case great. Also in cases where Elvis sung only a one liner from. Or songs he sung only live in the 50´s but, never recorded it.

Excellent...but alot of the AI tracks, dont have any soul...but this Poor Mans Gold is good...if its used on alot of the home recordings to improve the quality it will be brilliant...They did a good job with the new Beatles song recently....we could have some new album's 😊

Elvis`s music has been sampled, stripped, orchestrated and duet`s added with different levels of success to since his passing. The thing that has always remained constant is his wonderful voice. Once you bring in A.I it`s not Elvis singing anymore but a computer program, and that to me is a whole different ball game. If fan`s want to listen to "what could have been" and enjoy it for the gimmick it is fair enough but that`s as far as i would go with it. This stuff takes a lot of effort and talent to do and I`m sure is being done with the best of intentions, what I would like to see is this effort used to restore Elvis`s image at concerts or just clean up what is already there for us to enjoy. What will remain of Elvis if this technique takes precedence, the new generations will have a biased look. Any deceased artist will leave their entire legacy in the dressing room. Between the faked or retouched photos and that, it's not good news for me.

It’s a nice song, and very close to the “way“ that I believe Elvis would have sung it. So many AI Elvis songs out there right now. The dead giveaway is that Elvis, even if the voice is a match… Never would have sung it the way these are recorded. Elvis’s phrasing, It seems, they can’t match. This one is the closest.

Hi Michelle, now i have heard this full AI version there is a difference and i now see what you mean. Ive heard the Jamie Aaron Kelley's version for a few years now but after listening to this, yes its very noticable that it sounds more like Elvis with this technology. Its quite scary what they can do now. Ive got mixed feelings about this technology. On the one hand its very clever but on the other i wish they would just don't mess with the original. There is this Australian young man who uses a fakeface app of Elvis on his videos and even though its very clever it also seems very tacky as well.

I prefer Elvis singing no fine tuning or anything like that. I prefer the natural sound of Elvis no substitute for me.his heart and soul that he put into every song.

Wow! I so wish that Elvis would have finished this song himself. I love this song. This is nice to hear, but I am like you, Michelle, I AI is a bit scary with all it can do. Being able to hear a song that Elvis didn't record and it sounds like him is nice. Just as long as they let people know it's not actually a recorded song by Elvis. I've been a fan since 1870. There's nothing that can compare with the real Elvis!

You can’t improve upon perfection. Technology never stops and I believe AI is very dangerous.
