I agree with you, Ed. I was blown away by this, and definitely think it sounds like Elvis, but it is scary. I’m sure it won’t be long before some unscrupulous bootleggers find a “lost” tape of the song FEELINGS, or some other recording that us fans know, or believe, that Elvis recorded. It’s frightening. Love your channel, Ed👍

Hi Ed, Its been a while since I commented.. It is Jamie singing the rest of the track! Also Jamie wrote and performed the title tune for their channel (EAPS).. Which I just thought was an Elvis early 60's film track that I didn't know, and has John playing the guitar parts.. Fabulous stuff.

I feel exactly how you feel, Ed! It's a very strange feeling! Knowing what we know about Poor Man's Gold, this version actually stirs some emotion up in in me! ...despite not being "real"! However, maybe as a point of comparison...jump on youtube and listen to Jamie Kelley's (our friend from the EAP Society) "duet" with Elvis on 'Poor Man's Gold' ...it Is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! ....and that one's REAL!! Gee, it's a beautiful song, and as I've told Jamie, I think it's an absolute TRAVESTY, that Elvis didn't finish this song, because I think it would've been one of his great hits post-Comeback Special! But have a listen to Jamie and Elvis together... that version is sooo moving! Absolutely stunning! 🥹👍

I am a purist. I do not support Elvis Presley impersonators even though I respect their passion to do it. I should hate this. But amazingly I am a convert in this one lane. This is seriously good, really impressive. It earns a spot on my Elvis playlist. This is Elvis Presley’s voice. There are new techniques. This one was especially good, because Elvis actually sang part of a verse. I believe the way this AI TECHNIQUE WORKS, is that the AI learned from listening to additional Elvis Presley songs, and then engineers an amazing reproduction of Elvis Presley’s actual voice. If Elvis Presley competeted this song this way, THIS IS EXACTLY HOW ELVIS would’ve SOUNDED! I think this marks a beautiful spot in humanity’s maximum creative potential. I would love to hear Elvis sing a ton of great new songs from 1977 to today, and if this is the only way I can get it in 2023 -- I have to love it. Naturally, all of Elvis Presley’s work goes to the top of my playlist and treasures, but this song is going on my playlist. I’ll support anyone that can reproduce Elvis Presley to this level. However I would like to see clear markings that this is an AI work of art, like this tremendous music engineer does here.

It'll be interesting what happens next... will they take Elvis' style and voice from Aug 1970 and apply to older Elvis songs, or even later songs in Elvis' catalogue... or just brand new songs entirely ? I'm kinda anxious to start hearing what people can come up with !

The reason this sounds so incredible compared to the others is that AI copies the phrasing of the original artist that it's replacing. In this case it was done over an ETA, not sure which one but I know Pete Storm produced an entire arrangement in the style of Don't Cry Daddy. As the ETA had Elvis' phrasing off to perfection, the only thing that needed replacing was the tone...It takes time to teach the AI all the relevant tones but as yet AI can't replace the original phrasing. When Elvis was dubbed over Tom Jones Tom's phrasing made it distinctly UN-ELVIS. You may all like to know there is talk of replicating the album Elvis never got to record, Fire Down Below. As it's claimed the backing tracks had been layed down for the sessions, or at least the song list of covers exists. Using the ETA technique it would be totally feasible with the right impersonator. I'd take it a step further and have one of the great AI reface jobs done as some look incredible. Then we could imagine Elvis videos of him recording the Album. There's no point hating AI, it's here to stay and it means Elvis fans can indulge their fantasies and just imagine more accurately.

technically both ways, AI, it's really Elvis' voice just not when he was alive. taken from various samples of interviews and outtakes into a machine and they take Jaime's voice and feed it through the AI like a voice changer. Like how some programmers can strip Elvis' voice from a song and add a different backtrack to songs, for a complete different back track for remixes like JxL or the Royal Orchestra did with his music. AI has came up with ways to strip Elvis voice without music feed it into program and manipulate his voice, like GPS trackers uses voices, or text to speech programs uses pre recorded voices and manipulate tones and notes. So it's Elvis' real voice from prerecorded other material just altered and manipulated through a voice changer. They've used AI for images in movies like Schwarzenegger in Terminatror 3, like the Rock in a Scorpion King sequel. Now its possible to do it with voice work, but in this case again, from official pre recorded material manipulated.

Well it just did. The first line is the real Elvis, the rest mimmicks him to the point that it is impossible to tell. This is the only track so far to have been perfected . It's 100 percent indistinguishable from the real Elvis. I have Been a life long fan and every nuance has been adhered to. It's just a case of the AI copying every technical soundwave that Elvis produced with his voice in 1969 when Elvis layer down that one magical line of the song.

It IS Elvis' voice - just manipulated using words he sang. Still - it's NOT a legitimate song. I'm still not sure what to think of it. Had I not known he didn't finish this song - I would have been tricked and I've been studying Elvis' voice since 1970.

I think its really Elvis.. one take really recorded by Elvis.. maybe we'll know the true soon.. I think they did some "social experiment" saying this is made by Al but this is so faithfull to the style and voice of Elvis that I think is quite impossibile to create it with computer.. there are several songs made by AI out there but none of them is near to what Elvis sounds like.. so it is strange that this is so close to Elvis

I'm with you on this, I'm conflicted! I think it's wonderful, because I finally get what I want - "Elvis" singing new songs! It opens doors to stuff like releasing new albums from various eras of Elvis' career. Imagine a new album from the 50's, or perhaps a new one in the style of "From Elvis in Memphis". Or how about releasing new songs in 2023 and beyond, written specifically for Elvis? Perhaps he'll make a digital comback. You said it, the sky is the limit. However, I wonder about the ethical side. Obviously Elvis can't give his permission to use his voice, but how does his family feel about this? And how about Elvis Presley Enterprises? And is it legal to use someone else's voice like that?

Things like this are unstoppable because of the greed of some human people! It’s really scary. Books like JAT Sessions III become priceless in the future, because of it you can see witch Elvis Song is real and what is fake… I‘m glad to be so old as I am… I don’t want life in a world with no limits…. 😊

They av been cutting and putting special effects in movies for donkeys years . ..aint this the audio version ....lets be realisric here Elvis died in 1977 and nobody could have dreamed one day and technology of the future ...we have all his rca / bmg output .....if ai.is done with true love and care is it a bad thing..??? I didnt see many people moaning wen jxl mixed a track in 2002 and made it a number one the world over for the adverts for the football world cup ...now then yes i agree some Ai Elvis songs are poor .....but this is wonderfully done .....just ask the question if this was released would you buy it .......well i WOULD say yes ...coz your keeping his memory alive .....📀🎙🎼👑👑👑👑🙏

I personally believe that EPE should get behind this and find the worlds best musicians even if it means holding contests at Gracelands music venue. The only difference is that Poor Man’s Gold is missing Elvis’ incredible band in the background. I think this could be an incredible Elvis fan-cooperative project that would excite the old and new Elvis base of fans. Reproduce this song with a chosen fan made band and OFFICIALLY RELEASE IT as a new Elvis Presley fan made song.

@onlythelonely533 Many do, but I haven't run in those circles for over a decade, so the newers ones likely don't. It's all good either way - I just think it's been interesting seeing a lot of guys doing the song and using my lyric arrangement, I never thought about that until recently. And that's not a knock on Pete, either, I enjoyed his version!
