Poor boy tool cart modifications - free upgrade for more organized and clean tool cart.
I modified my tool cart and added a. Lock of foam to hold and organize the tools I use daily so I can have everything I need right by my side when I'm fixing things in the shop. I welded extra supports to mount magnets to hold wrenches. I was tired of a big mess on the cart. Now everything has its place and it's easy to find what I need and see everything,

Very function cart..well done..
First time I’ve seen a vertical handle attached to move the cart around, love that idea.

Well, I was running out of places to grab and had some old mower handles in the scrap pile. Lol, I figured why not try it. Ended up being very handy.
Great job. Id like to see more of your cart. I like the use of the foam. Now thats thinking "outside the box".

aitf99 Thanks, been using it almost daily and rarely have to go to the main box unless it’s a rare tool. I can pretty much do any repairs just from my cart.

Cool, it’s still Holding up great for me. Of course these days the cart is a catch all so no longer quite as organized. Lol
I like using carts around the shop too. The cart eliminates the need for stopping down and picking things up off the floor. I'm gonna apply some of those tool holders to my cart. I basically have 2 carts, one is for tools, the other is for use as a parts catcher when disassembling stuff. It's much better than having parts strewn all over the floor.

Marcel LeMay hay, Iv got an extra plain Jane snap on cart that I haven't used in years. I might dig it out and use it for that so I can put all the parts in one spot when doing a project. Half the time I lay stuff all over the shop and then spend an hour trying to find where I put it. LOL
i have the bottom half of a roll around grill. This looks like just the right use for it. Thanks :-)

xFrShizzLEx sounds like a cool idea. I had never thought about using a cart to keep tools on until I started working at a dealership and all the mechanics used carts so they could move to different bays without going back and forth to main tool boxes. When I left my job at the dealership I started using my cart at home. Eventually, all my most commonly used tools end up taking up permanent residence on the cart. It became a mess. Now it's awesome, so organized
