Main poore confidence se kah sakta hoon ki, un jaisa classical singer koi nahi tha. Lekin wahi baat hai jo classical song aur singers se nahi gaaye jate the ,wo gaane sirf manna day ji hi gaate the, aur unhone un hi songs se apna naam kamaya. Love you mannaday ji.

I can just bow down in reverence to Manna Dey. No words would suffice . He could sing the most difficult songs with ease. If a song was difficult,semi classical, or had many variations in pitch and notes, it was said ,give it to Manna Dey. No one else sing it. My pranaam 🙏🕉️

The only song that still brings tears in my eyes. Any superlative will be inadequate to describe it. Fortunate that the maestros SDB, Mannda & Shailendra created this priceless gem so that we could listen to it endlessly.

The music composed by S.D for the song was inspired from famous poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's bengali song - "Arunokanti Ke Go" (based on raag Ahir Bhairav) which was written and composed by Nazrul himself.
